Jaden's (9379) P.O.V.
Secrets are what have been keeping me safe over the last few years. Most of my powers have been kept secret. I can create illusions like you wouldn't believe. I could be in a bad mood, and you would never know because of the illusion. Said illusions can be made to be the exact opposite of what's really going on. That's just one of my many powers. Getting into my powers, I'd rather not do. Not because I might get caught by a secret government agency, but because it would attract unwanted attention from other worlds.
I can't remember exactly what I did, but it caught the attention of a government agency. But let's just say that if I wasn't working with S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd probably never know my true heritage.

Here's just one example of those powers I was talking about.
A throne room. It appears to be outside. And it's dark out.
Someone kneeling before a throne. He's clothed in armor. Bowing.
"The Tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power," a voice begins.
That's when I see a horn-shaped shadow. A scepter being handed to that shadow. The scepter had an intricate design that would be considered unusual here on earth. It had a long gold handle with silver blades encircling a blue gem.
"But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow. The world will be his. The universe yours. And the humans, what can they do but burn?"
I like to refer to this power as The Fortune Teller. Thing is, no one knows about this power. And it's the one power I haven't trusted anyone with, not even Agent Coulson.

We were working in New Mexico. It was the current location of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. project. And we were in the middle of an evacuation. Helicopters were everywhere. A voice bellowed from the PA system for anyone who had remained behind to get outta dodge.
Agent Coulson and I stood a few yards from the landing pad. A chopper landing on it. And out walked our boss, Director Nick Fury, and his second in command, Maria Hill.
"How bad is it?" Fury asked.
"That's the problem, Sir. We don't know." When the director was around, I let Phil do the talking. I had learned about a year prior that I tend to talk myself into a corner. Especially around higher-ranking agents.
The four of us entered the building and headed toward the radiation section. To put it mildly, the cube we had captured was miss behaving.
"Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago," Phil continued. The response didn't exactly please Fury.
"NASA didn't authorize Selvig to test phase."
"He wasn't testing it, Sir," I finally spoke up. "He wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous advancement."
"It just turned itself on?" Hill asked. That was all anybody could figure. Fury wasn't thrilled that I was there. As far as he knew I wasn't read in on what they were doing here in New Mexico. But thanks to Coulson's trust, I was one of the top agents involved with this.
The complete evacuation was going to take at least half an hour. But Fury wanted us to do better. Hill thought that an evacuation would be pointless because if we couldn't control the cube's energy, then there may not be a safe distance.
