It's been two weeks! I've been here for two whole weeks! I smiled. Things have gotten more intimate with Jack lately he kisses me out of nowhere. I don't mind it unless I'm doing something at work. Work is getting easier each day. Today I get to go to a college campus to sign up for my classes. I was thinking about living there. It's just I don't have the money to at the current moment. The campus was amazing. There's three buildings and then two dormitories. My classes are Literature, World history, Art, and swim class. I signed up for swimming. Even though we have a pool in our basement I still would like to get back into shape and maybe be a life guard again for next summer.

Jack made a promise for me to take me to his business meetings from now on. Today we are going to this big fancy hotel to meet up with the owners of a fast food restaurant to see if he can turn it into an actual restaurant for his company. I still don't know what his family does. I know my dad makes a living by publishing books and owning three clubs but I don't know what his parents do and what he does for his parents. I'd like to get to be familiar with it. Still I think about what James said about how as long as I marry into the family everything will be fine. What if I don't want to marry just yet? Will they need an answer immediately? Or ask me when I feel is appropriate.

Jack's hand slipped into mine as we looked at each other. My stomach felt warm with butterflies. His eyes looked me over. I nodded. He smiled as we walked into the hotel. It was beautiful. Fuzzy blue couches sat on either side of the lobby. Light blue walls covered everywhere. A chandelier hung from the ceiling. About ten people were in line to sign in and stay here. In the far corner of my eye were the sitting area was next to a bar sat a father and wife. The father had a leather jacket and jeans on. I knew they were married because they both have the same ring on the left hand's ring finger. The wife wore an old silk blue dress with pearl earrings going up both ears. She was a light tan with red lips. She had blue eyes as blue as the ocean. Her blonde hair stopped at her neck. She was dragging her husband towards us. They bickered back and forth. I felt a little awkward as they may be the people we are meeting.

Jack shook hands with the husband. The wife simply waved hello to us. I might have complemented her if it wasn't for her attitude. She snipped at every word her husband said so far. It's been ten minutes and I hate it. I would be late for work if we didn't end this soon. Then when Jack touched me and said my name I came back to what we were doing. "Huh?"

"I said don't you think they should change their menu if their making it into an actual restaurant?"

"Does my opinion matter?" I asked.

They all gave me the evil eye as if I said the wrong thing. Jack was about to say something when the wife commented on it. "Can you believe this Honey? He actually brought a girl who doesn't even know what to do here." She laughed.

I felt my skin boil but she was right. I was just a tag along. "I think I should go. I'll be late for work." I mumbled.

"We took my car. How will you get there?" he was concerned.

"I'll take a taxi. Don't worry. I'll talk to you later."

The ride to work was awkward. The driver spoke with an accent and talked about how he should get married to a pretty girl like me. Truly I felt like he was trying to cheer me up as if he noticed I was upset. No luck. I changed into my uniform when I got there. Ash was busy bartending. So we didn't even say hi to each other. I waited about ten tables in the last two hours. It was pretty slow during the day that why. Night time is the busiest because people usually go clubbing at night. We got to take a twenty minute break every four hours. So they would switch you out with someone else and then switch you back in. It's sort of like rotating positions. That's how I think it is at least.
