Never look back

Part 7

A streak of sunlight that managed to come through the thick curtains landed on my eyes waking me up in the progress. I rolled over to my back and stretched my stiff limbs. I turned to Conner's side of the bed to see he was still fast asleep. I smiled at his innocent sleeping face. I slowly leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

I carefully pulled the covers of off me trying not to wake Conner from his sleep. I got up from the bed and went to the closet to pick out my outfit for today. I was planning on going for a run around the pack boundries so I took some of my old clothes to wear. I carefully opened and closed the door to the bathroom doing my best to make as less noise as I could so Conner could continue his wel deserved sleep.

I undressed from my nightgown and panties and stepped into the hot shower. The hot water running through my long light brown waved hair.

It has been about a week since I 'fought off my dad' aka the werewolf. I've kept in touch with him. Just small talk like saying goodmorning, how are you doing and such things. Conner has been very busy with helping secure the village and pack bussiness. Conner and I haven't really had any time to be together. I hadn't even noticed him coming to bed last night.

I stood under the hot water for a good 10 minutes before I got out. I dressed in some panties not caring to put on a bra since I was going to change and sometimes clothes just dissappear. I pulled a long brown skirt and a loose creame colored sweater.

I got out of the bathroom and I heard Conner groan in his sleep. I watched as his body turned to my side of the bed and his arm reaching out trying to find me there. I walked over to the bed but before I could reach out to him he shot up and leaned on his elbows and looked around the room for me.

I put my hand on his shoulder and his eyes lock with mine. His hazel colored eyes locked with my chocolat eyes. He sighed in relief and he let himself fall back down on the bed. When he saw I smiled at him he reached an arm out to me and motioned with his hand for me to approuch him.

A smirk formed on his face when he saw me lightly smile at him. I slid my hand into his and he gave it a light tug. I walked over to the bed and sat down next to his body that was still covered by the bed sheets.

“How are you feeling Conner?” I made sure to keep my voice low since he had just woken up and was still half asleep. I was hoping that he'd go to sleep again once I was gone out for a run.

“Tired, why are you up already? Stay in bed with me. It's been a week and I haven't been able to do more than just give you a small kiss now and than.” I saw the muscles in his chest flex and knew he was going to lean up to kiss me so I did him a favor by leaning my face down so our lips touched.

It was a soft and light kiss but I could feel Conner was planning on keeping me here with him. I slowly pulled away after a few seconds. I raised my hand to his cheek and slowly caressed his cheek with the back of my hand. He closed his eyes and I saw his muscles relax.

“I'm going out for a run around the pack boundries and you Conner. You should just stay here in bed and rest. You have been dealing with a lot lately. The wall, security, concerned pack members. You just need your day of rest I promas you that I will come back to you as soon as I finish my round. I promas to wake you up, okay?”

He hesitated for a second but I noticed he lightly nobbed.

“You're right Miria, I need the rest. Wake me up when you get back please. Lock the door and put a note on it telling the pack not to disturb me. Sorry I'm demanding love but you're right, I need it.”

I leaned down again to slowly kiss him on the lips. He was quick to respond but he didn't last long. I kept lightening the kiss untill he didn't respond anymore and I heard his breath slow down. I smiled as I saw he had fallen asleep. I carefully put the covers over his body so he wouldn't get cold.
