Sodapop Curtis Imagine - Merman (The Outsiders Supernatural Series)

Y/N's P.O.V:

I have always been a lover of the ocean and water. I don't know why, but when I was little, my parents would always take me to the ocean and let me play in the shallow part. I loved swimming and just being in water. That's why I was thrilled when my parents bought a beach house. Every morning, I go outside to the beach and watch the waves. It relaxes me. Today, however, something was different.

I walked outside in some shorts and a loose tank top. I slipped on some sandals and let my wavy hair stay down. When I got to my usual spot, I noticed a boy. I've never seen him here before, but he was just sitting on a large rock, facing away from me. I decided to approach him. I took off my sandals and stepped into the water, enjoying the wonderful feeling of the cool water splash against my feet before making my way to the boy.

"Hey you! What's your name?" I called out to him. He nearly jumped out of this skin and turned around to search for the owner of the voice. We made eye contact and he blushed slightly. It was then that I noticed how gorgeous he really was. He had dark brown hair and beautiful, bright blue eyes. He was very handsome to say the least. He offered me a warm smile as I walked closer to him.

"My name is Sodapop..." He said as I finally reached the rock he was sitting on. I could only see the top half of his body from where I was standing.

"Woah, is that your real name?" I asked, surprised at hearing such an unusual name. He nodded shyly and smiled at me. His smile was just as beautiful as his face...

"That's so cool! I've never met a boy named Sodapop before! Well, it's nice to meet you! I'm Y/N!" We started chatting and getting to know each other when I suddenly felt something scaly brush against my leg, making me jump slightly.

"What was that?" I asked, looking in the water. I didn't see anything.

"Um...I don't know. Maybe it was just a fish..." Soda mumbled. I gave him a confused look but slowly nodded. I soon heard my parents call my name, informing me that it was time for breakfast. I said my goodbye to Soda and went to hug him goodbye. He moved away quickly, and a hurt look flashed across my face. He must of noticed because he quickly said, "I'm sorry, Y/N. It's just-"

"Holy Shit! Is that a tail!?" I exclaimed in surprise at seeing a light blue tail lingering around the rock soda was on. Before Soda could answer, I walked to his side of the rock and saw him. All of him. He was a merman.

"Oh my-"

"Please don't freak out!" Soda pleaded, looking at me with sad eyes, "You're the only friend I've had in a long time. I don't want to lose you..." Soda mumbled and looked down. I grabbed his hand and made him look at me.

"Soda, I think this awesome! Kind of surprising, but awesome! I think it's cool that you're a merman!" I exclaimed, and as I did, his eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Wait, really? You don't think I'm...strange...?" Soda asked. I shook my head and grabbed his hands.

"Of course not!" I said and he looked at my eyes, then my lips. I knew what he was thinking and I slowly leaned in. He followed my actions. I felt his warm, soft lips press against mine and I swear I felt fireworks. After a few seconds, I pulled away.

"I have to go, Soda...My parents are going to get impatient if I don't come home soon..." I said, looking sad. Soda nodded and frowned a bit.

"Will I see you again?" He asked, looking at me with hopeful eyes.

"Yes. Meet me here tomorrow morning?" I suggested and he nodded before letting go of my hands and allowing me to go back home. He watched me walk into my house before swimming back into the water.

After that day, Soda and I have been joined at the hips. We spent nearly every day together. Sometimes we would just sit and talk near the land and sometimes, Soda would take me underwater and show me the beautiful world underneath. I didn't have trouble breathing underwater because it turns out if you kiss a merman, you will be able to breath underwater. (I just made that up, I don't know if it's true or not 😂) So I could go underwater with him. He was now my favorite person in the whole world...

(GODDAMN THAT ENDING SUCKS! I'm sorry, I couldn't really think of a good way to end it 😂 I hope you enjoyed it anyways :) )
