Chapter three

Reagan

The rest of the day was pretty slow after we took Christine to the station. When we'd gotten there she'd given her statement only to decide not to press charges just like I knew she wouldn't. Damn shame.

After work I'd driven to my new apartment and parked in the small parking lot in front of the building. I'd saved up enough money to buy me a decent apartment here in Alabama. It wasn't on the beach, but I didn't care about that. I just wanted it close to the station that way if there was an emergency I wasn't too far away. Luckily, the apartment I'd picked was only fifteen minutes away from the station.

I was laying on my couch in my living room when I heard a knock at the door. I grabbed the gun that was laying on the table next to my head and approached the door with caution before looking through the peep hole. A blonde girl stood outside with something in her hands. I put the gun in the drawer beside the door and opened the door. Now that I could see the girl in front of me I could see that she was cute. Her light hair was straight, and her body was nice. She also had those tits of hers poking through the top of the shirt she was wearing and the jeans she had on were tight. What was she doing here?

"Well, hello there, gorgeous," I drawled. She smiled and I leaned against the door frame.

"Hi, I'm your neighbor, Helen. I saw you move in a few days ago and thought I'd bring you a little welcome gift." She was my neighbor? Well, this apartment just became a lot more home-like.

"Well, Helen, it's nice to meet you, and thank you very much. I love food." She held up the dish to me and I took it from her hands, careful to let my fingers brush hers as I grabbed the food. I saw the heat flare up in her eyes at my touch. Any girl could get excited from a touch, but if I was going to have fun with her like I was thinking about then I needed to know if she was clingy or not. I didn't do fucking clingy. I never fucked one girl more than once unless she was really talented.

I stepped aside and held the door open for Helen to walk through. I'd invited her in and just like I knew she would she came in all but jogging. I walked over to the kitchen to set the dish down and then opened the fridge.

"Can I get you something to drink?" I asked her. She glanced around at the bare walls and lack of decoration in the room. I wasn't one for homey touches. I just wanted the few necessities that I needed. The living room had a small TV with a DVD player underneath it. There was a couch and a chair to its right. There was a small table resting beside the couch with a lamp sitting on it. That was it. That was all there was. I planned on going bed shopping sometime this week.

"No, I'm okay. Thank you, though." Smart girl. "This is a nice place you got here." I wanted to laugh because I knew that in fact my place was not something a woman would be proud of. It was too plain for a female's taste, but if she thought it was nice then I wasn't going to argue with her. I walked out from kitchen and took a drink of the whiskey I'd made myself. Helen looked over at me and gave me an appreciative smile.

"So, Helen, why did you really come over here?" I set my glass down and crossed my arms over my chest. She took a few steps forward and stopped about a foot in front of me. Her hand reached out and she ran her red-polished finger over my bicep. She shivered as she touched me, and I smiled appreciatively. I knew women got excited when they touched me. For them, I was a good time. I was the wild card, but for me, women were a distraction. I used them as I saw fit, and this one would be no different.

"Because I've been watching you, and I think you're exactly the type of man I want." She took a step closer to close the distance between us and gave me a perfect view down at those tits of hers. That was nice. Real nice.
