Billy stalked the halls, walking fast, not paying attention to anyone. He was on a mission, with his eyes straight forward, once in a while darting off in different directions. Kids in the hallways murmured to each other, whispering, some nodded towards him

"Where is he?" Billy walked straight up to David. Billy knew David's secret. He knew that David was Curt's cousin

"Who?" David closed his locker. His black lipstick was fresh, and he had just pulled his hair into a small messy bun

Billy scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Just tell me where he is"

"Billy, you and I both know this isn't a good idea. Curt is very different from you"

"Do you think I care about that?"

David sighed and crossed his arms and looked down at his feet for a moment, then looked back up at his friend. "He's with Neil, around the corner"

Billy didn't respond, he was already on his way to find Curt. He was halfway going crazy, just because of a boy he couldn't have. When Billy liked someone, he gave them extra trouble because he doesn't know how to handle his feelings or emotions

Neil and Curt were talking about something, and Neil had his back to Billy. But Curt looked past Neil's shoulder and looked directly at Billy. Billy approached slowly, staring at Curt. Neil noticed that Curt was no longer looking at him, and turned around to see who it was that Curt was so focused on. When he saw Billy getting closer, he took a step to the side and crossed the walkway and watched from a distance

Curt slowly took a step back, leaning into the lockers, still concentrating on only Billy. People around started to talk, thinking Billy was going to beat him up again or something. Neil was ready to run if Billy decided to go after him next. Roland wasn't around, and nobody else who would possibly help him

Billy was now in front of Curt, only a foot away, and Curt was completely leaned up against the lockers. He looked up into Billy's eyes. He never noticed how mesmerizing they were. He didn't even care about the other kids around them. Billy didn't either. Nobody else existed

Suddenly, Billy grabbed Curt by the straps of his backpack and held him against the lockers and Curt almost gasped from the impact, but didn't. His heart started to pound heavily in his chest, and the eye contact never broke

Before Neil could make sense of the situation, something happened nobody ever saw coming. It took every single person by surprise. Billy pulled Curt to him and turned his head slightly and kissed him. He tightened his grip on Curt's backpack straps, and everyone saw Curt's eyes roll back and then close. Curt's hands traveled up to rest on top of Billy's

Neil's mouth fell open, and the entire hallway became silent. Nobody knew what to say or do

David walked around the corner when he heard nothing from the other hallway, which was one of the loudest halls in the entire school. Naturally, he thought something had to be wrong. When he saw Curt and Billy, he stopped dead in his tracks and dropped his books and his eyes grew larger with every second

Roland appeared on the other end of the hall. He also stopped when he saw Curt and Billy. The crowd of people started to look at one another, looking for an answer

The bell rang, and people slowly started to leave, but their eyes were still glued on the scene. Not a single person would get that out of their head. And this would travel around the school before lunch time, for sure

Billy pulled away and let go of Curt, and Curt's eyes instantly opened, and he stared up at Billy. Billy opened his mouth to say something, then he closed it. He looked to the left and then to the right. He looked back down at Curt. He nodded to himself and took a step back. He looked up and ran a hand through his hair. He turned around quickly and walked off, leaving Curt still in front of the lockers

Curt kept looking around, and then the realization sunk in, that everyone at that school would know about what just happened. And he didn't know what he would say. Everything was so out of balance

Curt started to head towards his class, but stopped when he looked up and saw Roland standing in front of him with a face of complete distraught. Curt could see something in his eyes, but he couldn't pin it down

Roland's lips twitched to form a small smile. He didn't want to smile, he wanted to yell. He wanted to rip Billy's head off. He wanted to bash all the lockers in. But he kept his cool, not wanting anyone to know how much that recent scene affected him

Curt didn't smile back. He looked down. He couldn't even face Roland, he couldn't think. He walked past Roland with his head down

Roland stood there, the only person in the hall. He listened to the bell ring, and continued to stand there. He decided he wasn't going to stay in school today. As he headed for the door to leave the school, he looked over his shoulder

What was he supposed to do now? He told David he wouldn't let Billy get to Curt. He wanted to help Curt. And then something hit him for the first time. He realized that he wanted to be where Billy was. He wanted to be the one who kissed Curt

He shoved the door open and headed for his car, ignoring teachers calling him. He had to leave the school, he couldn't stay there for another second. He tried to help Curt, he cared about him. Billy didn't. He was the main reason Curt was upset every day, and now he was here, kissing him?

He sat in his car, holding the steering wheel tightly. Then he reached in his backpack and grabbed his car keys. Before he started the car, he sat there for a while, thinking. Someone tapped on his window, and he rolled it down to see who was there.

"Take me with you"
