Curt walked through the door and closed it behind him. He crossed his arms and stood in front of Billy

"Why are you here?"

"Just in the neighborhood, thought I'd pop over" Billy chewed gum obnoxiously and looked around, inspecting the front of Curt's house

"You should leave. I don't want you here" Curt narrowed his eyes at Billy

"Hey, cool your jets. I'm not here to have a problem. I'm actually here to apologize for being a dick to you all the time. I know Neil's in there too, so I went out of my way to put a little something together for you guys"

Curt titled his head and slowly uncrossed his arms "Why?"

"I'm actually sincerely sorry for bothering you. I look back on it now and I feel like a douche. I know you won't be forgiving me any time soon, and that's fine. But this is for you" Billy slowly reached behind him and pulled up a box that was by his feet. Curt didn't even see it

Billy held it out to Curt, who only stared at him in response. Curt wasn't going to fall for anything. Just the thought of Billy knowing where he lived, made him uncomfortable. Why should he trust anything from the one person who's made his life hell so far?

Billy sighed and set the box down in front of him and Curt. "I understand. I'll leave it and go" And with that said, Billy put his hands back in his jacket pockets and turned around and walked away

Once Curt made sure Billy was gone completely, he looked down at the box. Reluctantly, he picked it up. A note on it said 'For Neil and Curt'  so he decided that he would open it with Neil. If he even wanted to

"So what do you think is in it?" Neil asked, looking down at the box sitting on Curt's drawing desk

"No clue. Can't be good"

Neil reached out and took the lid off of the box. He moved some wrapping paper and slowly took his hand out of the box. He continued to look into it. Curt stared at the scene from a distance and waited

"I think" Neil pulled something out of the box "this is for you." He held out a package with Curt's name written on it. It was wrapped in red wrapping paper with a string tied around it

Curt walked over to it and grabbed it. He held it and moved it around slowly, trying to figure out what it was. He looked up, to see Neil pull something else out of the box. It was wrapped in green, with the same string around it. This one had his name on it

Neil pulled the string and the paper fell off of it. Shocked at what he had received, his mouth fell open. In his hands he held a rare edition of X-Men. Which everyone knew was his favorite thing in the world basically

He looked up at Curt, and waited to see what Curt got. Curt pulled the string off of his package and moved the paper away. He stared at his gift and turned it around a few times. He had gotten a professional drawing and painting kit. It had stencils, pencils, and various different colors of paints and things, along with a thick sketch pad

"No, this doesn't feel right" Curt shook his head and put it back in the box. "He's trying to mess with us. Put the comic back"

"Maybe he actually is sorry"

"Are you serious? This is the same kid that gave you a wedgie, slushied me, got someone to beat me up in the bathroom during class time. Have you forgotten that?" Curt threw his hands up and sighed

Neil bowed his head slightly, remembering what Billy was capable of. Deep down, he wanted to believe that Billy was genuinely sorry, but now he was having second thoughts

"It was a nice gesture, but you know its not real" Curt said, putting the box lid back on the box after Neil put the comic book back inside

Curt's mother pushed the door open, and Curt snapped around, almost jumping from the sudden entrance

"Honey, I think you should go home. We're having a family emergency, and I don't think tonight would be a good night to stay" She spoke softly to Neil

"I understand Mrs. Smith. It was nice meeting you. And I'll see you at school tomorrow Curt" Neil snapped and pointed at Curt as he walked out of the room

Curt stood there in the middle of his bedroom, and heard the front door open and close. Neil was gone and heading home most likely. Curt's father made an appearance for the first time that night. Curt barely saw him

"So, boy," He said in a gruff voice, and Curt's mother left immediately. "I heard about you going to a party with your cousin. After I specifically told you that you weren't to leave this house any under circumstances" He reached behind himself and closed Curt's bedroom door

Curt swallowed, and stared at his father. His dad took a step towards him and Curt took a step back
