She's told she's worthless,
That it wouldn't matter if she died.
She feels helpless,
As she hides from the bullies and cries.
At night,
The metal of a knife,
Slicing through her skin without a fight.
She hides the pain,
Far from their sight,
As her spirit continues to be slain.
She is not worthless,
She is strong.
She is not helpless.
They are all wrong,
And they have made her think,
That she could never be strong.
Sadly, she cannot see,
That she is not what they think,
Which makes it hard for her to live with glee.
