Castiel shut his eyes tightly for a few seconds, then opened them once again. Lucifer was back.

He glanced at a taken-aback (F/N).

"What did he show you?" He asked.

She snapped out of her shocked daze and turned her attention to him.

"Your dreams," she breathed.

"Oh. Well, now you know. It's true, (F/N). I love you," he said, tensing up nervously.

He actually said it. Those words came out of his mouth... (F/N) thought to herself.

She kept silent for a few moments.

"Well?" He said, growing more nervous by the second.

(F/N) took a deep breath.

"I want to believe you, Lucifer, I do. I'm not going to lie and say I love you too, because the only thing drawing me to you is the power of this whole soulmate thing, and I think that's what you're feeling too. You don't love me, and I don't love you. I'm sorry," she responded, tearing up a bit.

"Don't treat me like I don't have any idea of the concept of love. That's what got me thrown out. I have never loved anyone more than my father, until now. What do I have to do to prove to you that I love you, (F/N)?" He asked, his eyes watering from frustration. He couldn't lose her now.

"Let me go," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Lucifer stared at her wide-eyed. She said this many times before, but this time was different. This had a different meaning to it.

"I can't," he breathed, his voice breaking a bit.

"That's a part of loving someone, Lucifer. Love is selfless. Keeping me here against my will isn't going to make me love you," she responded, taking his hand into hers.

Lucifer felt wetness on his cheeks. He was crying for the first time in his life. He just stared at her, silently crying.

"'If you love somebody, you let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were,'" (F/N) quoted, squeezing his hand gently.

Lucifer swallowed, trying to get a hold of himself. I should have never pursued in finding (F/N) and bringing her here. This is like getting thrown away all over again. Love sucks. I give up. He thought to himself.

"Okay," was all he said. He got up from the bed.

(F/N) looked at him, confused, furrowing her brows.

"But I just want to try one thing before you leave," he said, holding his hand out to her. She took hold of it and got off the bed.

"What?" she asked, looking into those evening sky blue eyes of his.

"I just want to kiss you, once. Then you'll be rid of me," he answered, trying to keep his composure.

(F/N) looked down for a second. I hurt him. I shouldn't have to feel bad about this... I don't love him.

She looked back up and nodded, silently agreeing.

Lucifer tucked a stray strand of hair behind (F/N)'s ear and tilted her chin up so her (E/C) eyes could meet his.

He started to lean in slowly. (F/N) closed her eyes. She finally felt his lips on hers. She felt like she was floating. She was seeing colors in her head. It was like an aurora borealis swirling in her head.

Lucifer felt the same way. He didn't want this to stop. It felt real in his dreams, but this was so different, and much better. He knew he had to let her go, though.

He pulled away and opened his eyes. His face was still very near to (F/N)'s. She still had her eyes closed.

Lucifer sighed.

"Goodbye, (F/N)," he whispered.

Her eyes popped open.

"Goodbye, Lucif-" Before she could finish, she was in the driveway of her and Mark's house.

The lights were on inside. There was an Impala in the driveway next to her and Mark's cars. She noticed her father's car parked on the curb as well.

"Oh, shit. Dad," she breathed. She slowly walked to the doorstep. She was processing the fact that she was back home. She looked down and smiled at their Bonnie statue sitting outside. She heard chatter inside the house. All men.

She took a deep breath of the cool evening air. She put her hand on the doorknob and attempted to open the door. It was locked.

She checked under Bonnie and the key was gone.

She rolled her eyes.

"Oh great, I have to knock awkwardly and probably freak them out..." she remembered what she was wearing. "And in a big t-shirt and boxers."

She sighed and knocked three times on the door.

There was a sudden silence, then hurried footsteps getting closer to the door. She heard the locks being unlocked and the door slowly opened to reveal Mark's nervous face.

As soon as he saw her, his face turned from nervousness to relief and shock.

"(F/N)?" He said, looking at her in disbelief and opening the door wider. "Please tell me you're actually here and I'm not hallucinating or dreaming," he pleaded, tearing up.

"I'm back, Mark," she said, her voice breaking.

He immediately took her into his arms. She wrapped her arms around him, crying happily into his chest. He kissed the top of her head.

She heard footsteps in the room and pulled away from Mark. There she saw standing her father, and Sam and Dean.

Her father looked like he'd been crying for 10 years.

"Oh God, (F/N). You're okay. Are you okay? What happened to you? Were you hurt?" He bombarded her with questions, tearing up.

(F/N) just walked up to him and hugged him tightly.

"I'm okay, dad," was all she said.

Dean and Sam smiled, but they both knew something was up. It was too soon for Lucifer to just let her leave.

Mark wiped the tears off his face and grinned, closing the door and locking it. It was instinct at this point to lock the door.

From across the street stood a curious, angry, and determined Amara, slightly hiding behind a tree.

She raised an eyebrow at this girl who was supposed to replace her.

"Well, nephew. Looks like I've found a way to hurt you," Amara smirked.
