Fionna's POV
I woke up and quickly sat up. I got out of my room and saw a note taped to my door:
Hey baby, I left early to take care of Mono, I made you breakfast.
Cake
I sighed and jogged down the stairs. I was supposed to tell her about my date last night. Oh well. I went into the kitchen and searched for my breakfast. On the counter, lay a stack of bacon pancakes. I took them to the table and munched each one slowly. I looked at the wall clock and was surprised to see the time. 8:42. Why so early? Knocking on the door had interrupted my thoughts and I got up to answer. There stood the infamous Marshall Lee.
"Hey Bunny." He smirked.
I smiled and stretched.
"Hey Marshall." I said sleepily.
He grinned and let himself in my house. I rolled my eyes and followed him into the kitchen. Marshall dug around in the fridge and puled out some strawberries. He took one and sucked the red from it and stuck it in my mouth, which I munched on happily.
"What brings you here so early?" I asked.
"I missed you Fi." He gave my a shy grin and nudged my arm.
"I bet you dreamed about me last night." He whispered in my ear.
I pushed him away and punched his arm playfully.
"Psh. No."
He gave me a hurt expression and wiped nonexistent tears.
"Wow Fi. That hurt."
"Whatever." I said and shoved him.
He just laughed and went towards the living room, where he sat on the couch and made himself comfortable.
"I'm in the mood for some Heat Signature." He said, patting the spot next to him.
"I have Heat Signature 3!" I said excitedly and went to the DVD collection to fish it out. I found it and held it up to Marshall's face.
"See?!"
I popped the disk in the DVD player and sat next to Marshall, to have his arm wrap around my shoulders.

"You scared Fi?" He whispered, half way through the movie.
"N-no." I stuttered.
He rolled his eyes and continued watching the movie. I screamed when blood splattered across the screen. I clutched Marshall's shirt and buried my face into his chest.
"I can stop the movie, bunny." He whispered again.
"N-no. I-i can handle it."
"If you can handle it why arn't you watching it?"
"Shut up Marsh." I mumbled.
He chuckled and paused the movie. I peeked to make sure the movie stopped and sat up straight. I looked to Marshall who was smirking smugly.
"Shut up Marshall."
"You already told me to."
I rolled my eyes and went back into the kitchen. Marshall soon followed and sat on the dining table. He stared at me like he was expecting something. I raised an eyebrow, with my hands on my hips.
"Yes, your highness?"
"I want some red." He said, kicking his feet up on the table.
"Well," I said leaning towards him. "get it yourself."
Before I pulled away, Marshall snatched a kiss. I gladly returned it until Cake decided coming home now was a great idea.
"Fionna?" Cake yelled.
I pulled away from Marshall ans stared at my adoptive sister.
"Uh-huh?" I said innocently.
"Why in here?! In this house?" She yelled.
"Because I live here?"
Cake face-palmed and dragged me up stairs. Completely forgetting about Marshall.
"Marshall Lee?!" She screeched.
"But Cake! I told you he asked me out!" I yelled back.
"I told you not to go up the tiers!"
"I don't even know what those are!"
Cake sighed and calmed down. She rested a hand on my shoulder and looked at me dead in the eye.
"We'll talk later, we have a guest." She mumbled, going back down the stairs.
Marshall was right where we left him, but his feet were off the table. He sucked the red out of a strawberry and set it back in the bowl. He heard our obvious footsteps and he looked up at us. He gave me a half-smile and looked to Cake.
Cake went up to him and whispered something in his ear that was meant only for them. Marshall's cheeks turned red and he quicklt nodded. I chuckled at him and he looked at me. He smirked and was about to say something but Cake quickly covered his mouth.
"She doesn't know about any of that stuff." She said.
Marshall burst out laughing and turned to Cake.
"R-really?" He said in between laughs.
She quickly nodded and turned to me.
"Fionna, can you show Marshall the door?" She said sweetly.
"Ok." I mumbled.
Marshall got up and followed me to the door, still laughing.
"What did Cake say?" I asked
"I'll demonstrate it on you." He said, winking.
I gave him a confused look and Cake came in and hit Marshall's head.
"Oh no you won't!" She yelled.
Marshall responded with laughs and floated out into the streets. Umbrella shielding him from the sun.
Cake quickly shut the door and turned to me.
"Don't let him do anything to you." She said through clenched teeth.
"But I don't what the heck you guys are talking about!" I yelled throwing my arms in the air.
"Don't let him teach you!" She yelled back.
I groaned and ran upstairs to my room, locking the door in the process.
What the heck was Marshall talking about?
What are these "tiers?"
Cake'll never tell me.
Marshall will.
I'll have to ask him.
