"(Y/N)! It's honestly not what you think it is! I prom-"
"Well, what's going on!? It looks pretty suspicious from where I'm fucking standing, Sarah!"
Cherry turned her body around so she was facing me. "I know what you're thinking but it's not like that at all. I've come over because Sarah obviously wouldn't answer my calls, emails or texts." I could feel myself burning up. I was beyond angry. Why would SHE want to contact Sarah? Sarah told me that her most recent break up was messy and her and Cherry started to speak as friends again shortly after but it wasn't working so they stopped contacting each other.
"W-well why would she want to answer you? You broke up, remember?"
She rolled her eyes at me. Bitch.
"Yes I remember. I wasn't trying to contact her to ask to get back together. We've both moved on. I was trying to contact her to ask her if she wanted to be in a play that I have co-written with a mutual friend of ours. He thinks she is perfect for the part, as do I. I wanted to ask her personally though because I don't want things to be awkward between us if we're going to be working together again. So, I've said what I had to say. Sarah, contact me or Tony when you know your decision. I'll see myself out." She got up and headed towards the door. She brushed passed me and said: "It was nice to meet you, (Y/N)."
I didn't really respond, I just made sure she had left. I walked over to Sarah and sat next to her. As soon as I sat down, she wrapped her arms around my neck so tightly I almost struggled to breathe. Then she started to cry. I hugged her back and kissed her lightly on her hair. "Sar, why are you crying? All what Cherry said was the truth, right?" She slowly sat back where she was sitting before. Her pretty little face soaked from her tears. "Y-y-yeah, nothing honestly happened between us. I wasn't even her expecting her to come over. Just seeing you so upset b-before. I was so scared you'd get the wrong impression and walk out. I couldn't lose you." She started to really cry. At first I thought she might have been feeling guilty about something, maybe not telling me that Cherry was over. But she was actually crying because she thought I was going to leave her. "Babe, of course I was going to let you explain. I trust you completely but I don't 100% trust her. I love you so, so much Sar. I couldn't just let you go like that. I don't want to ruin this night so let's get into bed and watch a film, okay? We'll talk about the play tomorrow. I just want to spend tonight with you." She flashed that beautiful smile that I'll never get tired at looking at and intertwined her hand with mine. She leaned in and gave me the longest, most loving kiss I think we've EVER shared. It felt so good. "I love you more than anything and anyone, (Y/N). Always."
