Arcanine

"Hey (your name) you home!" a male voice called from outside. You groaned and let your head fall forward.

"You'd think he'd get the hint." you muttered under your breath. Arcanine chuckled from his spot at your feet on the floor. "What's so funny?" he shook his head and smiled up at you.

"Nothing, you want me to talk to him?" you thought about his offer for a second before nodding. He got up and left the room, and you sighed watching  him walk away. It had come as a major surprise to you when you woke up one morning two weeks ago and had found a strange man curled up in your faithful fire types spot. Not to menschen that the stranger was necked. It had taken him three hours to finally convince you that he was your beloved Arcanine, and in those three hours he'd had to pin you to the bed four times to keep you from calling Officer Jenny.

"I don't believe you, where is she what have you done with my (your name)!" you groaned again. A friend of yours, whether in a gesture of kindness or torture you could not tell, had set you up on a blind date and the guy would not take the hint that you were anything but interested.

You heard Arcanine chuckle, and that sound alone sent shivers up your spine. "Look kiddo I don't know who you've been talking to, but (your name) is not interested in you. So why don't you run along and go play with your toys or something?" you heard the door shut and Arcanine walked in laughing.

"Wow." was all you said, it's really all you could say before Arcanine plopped down on the couch and pulled you into his lap. "What are you doing?" you asked staring at his face as he smirked back at you.

"There is one thing that I'd like to clear up that I couldn't clear up with that kid outside." he growled causing you to raise an eyebrow.

"Oh ya, and what's that?" he pressed his lips against yours and pressed you even closer to him.

"You are mine." he growled firmly, "Not his or any one else's, you are mine." he returned his lips to their former place on yours, but you pulled away laughing. "What's so funny?" he pouted making you laugh even harder.

"You know a simple 'I love you' would have worked just fine. But hey a bit of clarification for you  too. You are mine too, and you better get it through that thick skull of yours or else." and with that you put your arms around his neck and placed your claim, just as he had placed his.
