Ashton’s Point of View
Last night was a great guy’s night. Calum, Mikey, and Harry all had a little too much to drink and their dance moves made it obvious. Zayn and Niall were able to get Luke to enjoy himself a little and I scored with the short girl in the red dress whose name is actually Lindsay. Liam and Louis mingled with the crowd and were the social butterflies of the evening. Of course now Calum, Michael and Hazza now have hangovers, but overall it was a success. We all crashed at Harry’s place last night because his house was actually pretty close by. “Hey Haz how ya feeling?” I ask Harry who doesn’t look so good. “Just typical hangover” he groans. I help take care of Cal, Mikey, and Harry as best I can before arranging plans for Michael and me with the songwriters. We leave later tonight. Eventually we all head back to the bus to say goodbye to it, pack up our stuff, and head our separate ways.
“I’m going to miss this bus.” Calum says as he slides his hand across the exterior of the bus. “Lots of good times” Michael adds looking at the bus fondly. “Lots of memories” Luke says. “Our future waits!” I say before we split up. Michael and I catch a cab to our hotel seeing as it was not far because we were already in London. Luke and Calum went to the airport to fly back home to Australia in search of Sydney.
Sydney’s Point of View
Maggie’s parents want us to go back to London early to get all my stuff settled in so we will be flying up there soon. “Mags what do I need to bring and what should I leave behind?” I ask while looking around my room. “Well I suggest taking all of your clothes and you can leave sentimental crap like photo books and keepsakes here for safe keeping. Anything you use regularly should come with you. And of course you won’t be needing your furniture or anything.” She says while plopping a big box on my bed. “Okay so you are in charge of shoes” I say while quickly labeling that box ‘Shoes’. “And you will pack up dresses” she says handing me a smaller box.
We quickly start packing up my stuff when my cell phone interrupts me. “Turn the music down, it’s Ryan.” I say before quickly answering my phone. She quickly turns down Out of my Limit and continues packing. “So Syd how about we do a big bash before we all head to college. Like a gigantic party before you and Maggie go to London. How’s that sound?” Ryan says excitedly through the phone. “I don’t know Ry; you know I never had many friends in high school. Maybe a small get together will be better.” I say as Maggie leaves the room to get more boxes. “I knew you would say something like that, but come on! You are going off to college now; it’s time to move on. Look I know things changed for you when Jason died, but they changed for all of us. Maggie has moved on, I’m moving on, even Mr. and Mrs. Cole are moving on. Everybody’s life is going on and the world hasn’t stopped spinning and I just don’t want to see you stuck in the rut you were in senior year. You haven’t done anything even remotely fun since Jason.” Ryan says through the phone. “Ryan, you know I can’t just go back to how things used to be. I died the day he did. My world can’t go on like he never happened. I can’t just forget about him. He was the only reason people even knew me in high school. I just can’t handle a party right now. Not one like Jason used to throw.” I say on the verge of tears. “You don’t have to live like it never happened, but for your own sake live like it happened. Past tense, Syd. You need to put Jason behind you. I know it’s hard and I know it hurts, but doing things like throwing parties and watching certain movies are like cleaning a scrape. Disinfecting it hurts and it stings, but it helps and if you don’t then it gets worse. Sydney let me throw this party.” Ryan pleads. “Alright, but I don’t want to help plan anything. If you need any help you can ask Sabrina. She loves to plan parties.” I say. “Thanks Sydney” he says before hanging up.
