Michael’s Point of View

We all look over at Luke who is staring out of the tour bus window not responding to us. “Luke!” I shout for the fourth time. This time his head snaps up and he turns to look at me. I give him an ‘I’ve been calling your name for a while now’ look. “Sorry Mikey. My mind was just somewhere else.” Luke says. “Thinking about Sydney?” I ask knowing I’m right. “Yeah. You know that whole love at first sight thing. Do you believe in it?” Luke asks me. I think I know where he is going with this. “I’m not really sure. I feel like I would know it if it happened though.” I reply. “I’m not so sure. I mean I’ve never believed it because love takes time and effort to grow, but now…” he trails off. “Look Luke I don’t know what to tell you. I mean I’m not going to lie, it was pretty cool that you happened to meet the girl you pointed out to us at the concert.” I start. “But?” Luke asks knowing that there was more I was getting at. “But you also have to remember that she is probably one of the few girls that you have actually spent time with since we have been on this tour so maybe you are just missing being around girls.” I say. “That’s true, but still. I meet a ton of girls at meet and greets and concerts and stuff so the fact that I got to spend time with the one girl that I have taken a genuine interest in this whole tour, I mean it just sort of feels like fate.” Luke says. “Yeah, but it’s not like you are going to ever see her again.” Ashton chimes in as he takes a seat closer to us joining the conversation. “Ashton’s got a point.” I say. “I know. And that’s one of the reasons why I just can’t make sense of it all. I mean is it possible to find the right girl at the wrong time?” Luke asks. All three of us just sit there thinking about the question. None of us really knowing what to say.

Sydney’s Point of View

I took a nice long nap until my sister Sabrina decided to wake me up by being obnoxiously loud. “Can you be any louder?” I ask my sister from my bed. “Oh sorry Syd. I didn’t realize you were up here.” She says before turning her music off. I glance over at the clock. “I should probably get up anyway.” I say sitting up out of bed. “So how was the concert?” she asks me as she takes a seat on the foot of my bed. “It was nice. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting.” I say smiling a little to myself. “Wow you just smiled. You must have had fun then. I haven’t seen you smile since…” she trails off. I finish her sentence in my mind. I haven’t seen you smile since Jason. “I’m hungry” I say quickly changing the subject. “Well you’re in luck. Vanna just made some lunch and I think she might have some leftover.” Bri says lightly. “What is it? Some of her vegetarian stuff can get pretty weird.” I say remembering one time I let Savanna cook for me. “Um I’m not quite sure but it didn’t smell too bad so it’s worth checking out.” She says. “Thanks Bri” I say before making my way downstairs to the kitchen. “Morning Sleepyhead” Savanna says as I enter the kitchen. “Bri said you had some leftovers from lunch” I say getting straight to the point. “Yeah just some pasta salad and a tofu wrap” she says pulling it out of the fridge for me. “I’ll have some pasta salad, but I think I’ll pass on the tofu wrap” I say. “That’s what I figured. Oh and don’t forget to pick up Maggie tonight. Mom wanted me to remind you.” She says before cleaning up her lunch dishes. “Oh thanks” I say politely. How on earth could I have forgotten about something as exciting as Maggie coming?
