Harper-
The week went by really quickly, faster than it should have. I missed Alex so much; he made those few days absolutely fly by. But I couldn’t be the girl that just sits on her bed and waits for a boy to call, I had to continue with my career and move up in the world, do what I came here to do. Not that I can’t sit on my bed at night and think about how his lips felt, because that was the best damn feeling I have felt in a long time and I want it again and again.
Today I hadn’t done much, I went over a story called Beauty, it was really interesting and it kept me enthralled enough so he didn’t keep popping into my head. It was about two younger girls trying to get into the army during the World War I. I can’t imagine how my agent possibly thought this would work for me, although I suppose anything would work right now.
James Grant is my manager, he looks like he got pulled out of riding bikes in the middle of the forest, formal really wasn’t his type. He is usually in a baggy hoodie with his white washed jeans and shoes. He wears big nerdy glasses and his shoulder length hair pulled back and his scruff left on his face. I love Grant, we’ve been friends for a couple years and he wanted the position when I explained why I was coming to New York. Sometimes he and I would fight and disagree over the smallest things but I know he has my best interest at heart.
“Take it like a man! You will never make it if you stop and cry-“
I had to stop to pick up my vibrating phone next to me. An instant smile came to my face, although I wished he was here, I’m glad he wasn’t at the moment. I was in my brothers old sweatpants so they were huge on me, my bright yellow hoodie with my hair let down naturally, basically I looked like Grant on a good day. I don’t usually wear make up too much, but I had none on today, I don’t even think I’ve brushed my teeth today.
“Hello” I said, a huge smile already on my face, I can’t even stop looking like a love sick puppy.
“Harp? Hey, what’s up?” I’ve missed that voice.
“Just reading over scripts, fun ha-ha” I don’t want to make this awkward but what do I say?
“That’s rad, so I have a question.”
“Alright, ask away” why am I so nervous?
“Have dinner with me, tomorrow night.”
Tomorrow? As in the next day? Wait..
“I thought you had two weeks of tour left?”
“Well, we had one and I was originally going to go home and unpack and start getting everything back to the way it was, but I don’t know, a side trip sounds good” I could see the smirk on his face.
“Well, yeah that sounds good to me” I smiled and laughed a little.
“Awesome, I’ll see you tomorrow night!” and then the line went dead.
I couldn’t stop smiling! I’m going on a, what was tomorrow? I don’t know but I’m going out at least! I was busy jumping around my bed with a huge smile on my face that I barely heard the door. I opened my door and went towards the main entrance to our apartment. I opened the door to find two men that were both about 6’3. They both had on black hoodies and dark jeans. On seemed to have blonde hair and then I couldn’t tell about the other one, he had his hood up. I didn’t feel real comfortable, I’ve never met these guys and I’m all alone, they could really do whatever they want.
“Hello, can I help you?” I asked a little loudly, maybe a neighbor would hear me.
“Is Emily Parker here?” good god their voices were deep.
“She’s not; can I ask why you’re looking for her?”
“No, but let her know some people stopped by for her. We’ll be back later” and with that they just walked away.
I shut and locked my door with the dead bolt too. I immediately picked up my phone and when she didn’t answer my nerves raised about one hundred percent. I was starting to get a sick feeling in my stomach and I nearly vomited when I heard a loud bang on the door, again.
“Harper open up!” came through the door, but this voice was way less murderous.
I swung open my door to find the two idiots I had forgotten about.
“Hey sis!” Justin said as he and Robert pushed into my apartment.
Fortunately my anger was nowhere to be found because I basically hurled myself into Justin. I didn’t want those guys coming back, they could do whatever they wanted to me and I for one did not want to find out what that meant.
He pulled his arms around me and squeezed and I moved to Rob. Rob is obviously short for Robert. And we all call Justin Jaybird.
“I missed you guys, how are you? What’s up? Is it cold outside, I feel like it is. But cold is the best for soup, do you want soup?” I just need them to be here and I need to get ahold of Emily.
“Chill Harp, we just got here. Temperature is great, good job kiddo.” Jay patted my head as he walked past me.
I showed them both to Emily’s room; she would stay in mine with me and told them to do whatever they pleased. They both looked the near same while they were unpacking their things. Jay is two years older than Rob and Rob is two years older than me. Jay was wearing a pair of gray sweat pants and some type of shoes with a red t-shirt while Robert wore jeans and a red t-shirt. Jay has darker hair than Rob and Rob has a skinnier face but that’s about all there is in differences.
We all decided to hang out and watch movies and eat ordered in pizza, nothing fancy. They were my two big brothers, nothing fancy is happening. I guess I fell asleep because I remember being lifted and then placed into my own warm bed while they each kissed my forehead and headed off somewhere in the apartment.
I fell asleep thinking of how tomorrow night I was seeing Alex, along with my two brothers, we’ll see how this goes.
Hey guys, sorry for the late update. Once I get 100 reads, their will be a huge update! This story is not even close to over and I appreciate whoever reads sticking with me!
