Gerald’s POV

Since my aunt let me go for today to get extra clothes, I felt so happy since I really wanted to see my best friend. I hurriedly went back to the city and when I got home I heard a scream from upstairs. I rushed through Maevic’s room where I knew the sound came from.

 I twisted the door knob and opened the door; surprisingly I saw Maevic and Luhan hiding in each other’s embrace. My eyes widened when they both looked at me and when I have read Maevic’s lips saying my name.

“Ya! Why didn’t you tell me that you’re going home today? I thought you’ll be staying in your aunt’s house for two days?” she said as she walks towards me.

She wrapped her arms around mine and honestly, I wanted tolet go of it. I know she’ll get confused with that so I’d rather stay calm and act cool as if I wasn’t affected by what I saw earlier. I did felt a sudden heart ache.

“Uhh, I went home to get some clothes. I heard you guys screaming as soon as I get in so I checked.” I told her and I looked at Luhan. I wanted to glare at him but it would be a wrong move.

He told me that they were watching horror movie and invited me as well but I told him that I was in a hurry. He too, needed to go. Luhan headed towards the door and I saw Maevic followed him. I gave her a death stare as she let her tongue out and rolled my eyes. I was really pissed off and I don’t know why I’m feeling this.

After taking a deep breath, I went downstairs to look for my best friend. I saw her leaning her back on the front door. I wasn’t feeling alright then but I manage to remain cool and tease her. She went over the couch and curled her knees in disappointment. I’m now speechless and besides, I really need to get back to my aunt.

“I’ll just go upstairs and get some clothes” I told her and she looked at me saying..

“You should have done that already since you came” she said and she’s sad as I can see it through her eyes.

“You’re so cold.” I told her and I feel so sad with the way how she talks to me. She wasn’t even like this before until she met Luhan. She just looked away and placed her chin on the top of her curled knees.

I decided to go upstairs and grabbed my clothes realizing that I’ve almost brought out ALL of it. Because of being too much annoyed and pissed off, I threw the pillow through the wall. There was a loud sound when the pillow hit something that fell into the floor.
