Okay, this is just great. I didn't even want to be here but the fate of my village depends on this victory. All my other comrades that tried to do this, have failed. This time, however... I will claim the win. They're counting on me and I won't let them down!
This tournament was irrelevant on so many levels. You don't understand the pain I'm in. But, at least there are some interesting opponents I face. And yet, there are some cocky ones too...
"Who's first?" Questioned the infamous Johnny Cage, "Who's ready to get Caged!?"
The man running this tournament, looked at me. I sighed as I lifted up my mask. I guess I'm up first. I looked at Johnny who smirked at me.
"You know, I don't want to hurt you, pretty lady." He stated, winking at me.
"Let's just do this already." I rolled my eyes.
I got on the stage and got into a fighting stance. I'll admit, Cage did get a couple of good hits in. Despite his big ego and obnoxious attitude, he's a good fighter. But, just because I did praise him, that didn't mean he won this battle.
With my signature scissor kick, he was down for the count.
I crouched to where he was lying and pulled down my mask.
"Better luck next time, honey." I say with a wink.
Standing up, I was showered with cheers from the crowd. I bowed and lifted my arms in the air as I was praised on my first win. Alright, one down and plenty of more to go. So, who's next...?
I looked at a woman who walked out on the stage. She was a chubby, pretty lady who was wearing a black dress and black fingerless gloves. She held onto a closed black and white umbrella and I looked up. Was it raining? She scoffed at me which caused me to glare at her.
"This is your next opponent, Henrietta."
I nodded and went to shake her hand when she snickered at me.
"This is such a waste of time..." She stated.
"Well you could just forfeit. That'll make it easier for the both of us." I smiled.
"In your dreams you girly conformist."
She struck first with her umbrella. Wow, that actually hurt. Henrietta opened her umbrella and pressed a button on the bottom. That released small blades on the ends. Whoa, I gotta watch out for those. I ducked when she swung her deadly weapon at me. Countering, I threw a punch on her lower abdomen. That caused her to fly back and drop her umbrella. I went to kick it out of the way when Henrietta grabbed my ankle. She pulled, making me fall down.
"Ahh!" I screamed as I fell on my butt.
Henrietta grabbed her umbrella and slammed it down on me. I rolled out of the way and swiftly kicked it out of her hands. The umbrella flew up in the air and came down onto her shoulder. She screamed in pain as the blades grazed her a little bit.
I kicked her knee, dropping her on her knees and kicked her face. She groaned as she stayed on the ground.
"Outstanding performance, by {Name}. We shall continue this tournament in a couple of hours. I suggest you stretch or practice until then."
