Chapter 22

Hayley's POV
It is currently 1:20 A.M and I am up packing. Not for a vacation. Not for a tour. For running away. I can't take this anymore. I can't take looking at Nathan anymore. I pack up everything I need. Leaving my phone on my bed. I don't want to get any text messages saying "Where are you?". The best thing to do is just leave it. Leave all the pain. Where I'm going I have no idea. My first stop is going to be a cemetery for sure. I have to visit my dad. Even though we weren't close I miss him. I walk out the front door carefully and quietly making sure I don't make a noise. And then, I'm off. Really it was an easy get away. No one knew so no one stopped me. No one tried. I was probably going to my cousin's house. She only lived a town away. It wasn't far. But it was only the start. From her house I was planning on going to my grandma's house. She lives in New York. Not too far from where we live. I roam the streets alone waiting for someone to say "Hayley get back here." But no one does. It was easy. After about half an hour of walking I reach my cousin's house. I knock on the door and wait. She knew I was coming."Hey Hayley." She says with a smile. "Hi." I say smiling back. "Are you sure you made the right decision?" She asks. I nod. She shows me to the guest room and I sleep. That's it. I was finally gone. How long until someone notices?
**The morning**
Kaylee's POV
I wake up on a bed. I go to sit up but realize that someone had their arm around me. I turn over so I could see who it was. Weston. I kiss his forehead and he opens his eyes. "Morning Baby girl." He says with a smile. "Don't you mean afternoon?" I ask. "It can't be the afternoon we have that meeting with our managers!" He yells before jumping out of his bed. "Calm down. It's only 9." I say with a laugh. "I hate you!!" He says with a laugh. "You love me." I say back. "You wish." "Not really." "You know you want this." He says. "I'd rather puke." I say trying not to laugh. I laugh a little as he tackles me to the floor. "Get off!!!!" I scream. "Not until you admit you love me." "Fine I love you." I say while rolling my eyes. "Like you mean it!" He says with a laugh. "I lush yoouuuuu!' I say. He gets off of me and laughs. "I am going to go home and grab some clothes. I'll be back." I say. He walks me out of the house. "Bye Kay Kay." He says with a smile. "Bye dork!" I yell because I was already across the street. When I get home my mom is sitting on Hayley's bed crying. "Mom what's wrong?" I ask. "Hayley is missing. She left her phone. I'm scared. What if she never comes back?" She says in between sobs. "Mom. She'll come back. I know her. I mean she is my twin." She just nods and stands up. "So I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping." "No I have that meeting with my managers and Weston." "That Weston kid. I don't really like him I don't want you hanging around him." She says. "Mom you can't be serious. Just because Hayley is gone doesn't mean you can act like me and you are close. We aren't. I know we both know we aren't close. I mean honestly it took you 14 years to come around. Dad raised me. You didn't and don't want to be a part of my life. You missed your chance. You can't get back the 14 years you weren't there for me." I say before walking out. I go into my room and grab clothes. I walk out the house holding in tears when I run into someone. Nathan. "Hey is everything ok? Why are you crying?" He asks. "Oh. Um.. yeah I'm fine just... I just. I just yawned." "Kaylee don't lie to me." He says. I just storm past him. "KAYLEE!!" He yells running after me. I just keep walking. He gets closer. And that's when it hit me. He's still my boyfriend. I stop walking. Letting him catch up to me. "Kaylee." He says holding me by the arms. I don't look at him. "Look I got to go to a meeting. I'll talk to you later. I'll tell you later." I say. "No. Tell me now please." He says looking me in the eyes. "I got in a fight with my mom. Ok. Now I have to go. Bye Nathan." I say storming off. I reach Weston's house and wipe the tears. Trying to make it look normal. I then walk into his house. "Ready?" I ask. "Yeah." He says grabbing my hand.
Hayley's POV
(Back to the morning)
I wake up to the smell of pancakes. I walk into the kitchen. "Morning lazy." Marissa says. I laugh. "I'm not that lazy." I say. "Yeah uh huh sure." She says with a laugh. "Look you know your mom is going to figure out that you're here." She says. "Can we not talk about it. I just have to raise money for a plane ticket and then I'm off. It should only take a month or 2. Anyway no one probably noticed I was gone." I say. Tears were begging to fall out my eyes but I didn't let them fall. "You should call or text someone. You know someone that wouldn't worry about you as badly as everyone else. Do you have anyone in mind?" She asks. "I can't do Nathan because he supposedly likes me even though he is dating Kaylee. Kaylee would probably tell mom even though they aren't close. I can't Weston because he cares about me like a brother. All that I have is Blake. I guess I could tell Blake."I say. "Ok." She says handing me her phone. "Hello?" Blake says into the phone. "Hey. It's Hayley. I have something I need to tell you. But before I do you have to promise not to tell anyone. Not even Kaylee." I say. "I promise. Now what's happening?" He asks. "I.. I.. You know what call me on Skype. I'm at my cousin's house." I say. "Ok." He says and hangs up. I ran to the computer room and open up Skype. Then instantly call Blake. "Hey what's up why are you crying?" He asks. "I..I ran away." I say looking down. "What!?!?! Why?" He says. "I had to. I couldn't take seeing Nathan." I say. "Ok I deal with seeing Kaylee all the time." He says. "Don't tell anyone. You are the only person I told." I say. "Ok. I promise. Be safe. I have to go to a meeting. Bye." He says.
Blake's POV
I hang up on Hayley and grab my phone. "I can't.." I whisper to myself. "I can't tell her. I can't tell anyone." I look back down at my phone. Kaylee's contact was popped up on my phone. I was hesitating to call her for a while know. "Blake let's go!!" My mom yells. "Coming!!" I say back before running out the door. I have to tell her. After the meeting. But what if Hayley finds out.
