Chapter 50

*10 years later* (the time skips are annoying i'm sorry.)

Kaylee's POV

"And that, my children, is the story of how your father and I met," I smile look at the twins and my son. 

"Can we go visit dad tomorrow?" Joshua asks looking up at me. I nod with a weak smile. He smiles back at me before I place a kiss to his forehead. 

"I love you Josh," I mumble. He yawns as he pulls the blanket over his head. I then walk the twins to their room. Even at 15 they are inseparable. 

"Good night Leilani, Good night Alaina. I love you," I say kissing their foreheads. They mumble a quick good night and I love you back before walking into their bedroom. I crawl into my queen sized bed. The bed that I've returned to alone for so many years. A tear slides down my cheek as I pull on Weston's old shirt.

"Can we go see Daddy?!" Joshua asks as he jumps up and down. I nod as I hand him clothes to put on. 

"Girls are you going to come?" I yell. 

"YEAH!" Leilani and Alaina yell back at the same time. 

After about 5 minutes, everyone is piled into the car and we start our journey. It takes 10 minutes to get to our destination and the walking distance isn't that far. We stop in front of his resting place. 

"Hey dad, it's been a while," Alaina says as a tear slides down her cheek. She places her hand on the tombstone. Leilani wraps her arm around her sister and brother as they all weep at their fathers gravestone. I run my hand over the words carved into it.

Here lies William Weston Koury. Beloved father and husband who was taken far too soon. 

A pair of small arms wrap around my waist and I give Josh a weak smile as I hug him back. 

"He's in a happier place now, Mom," Leilani sighs as she wipes her own tears. I nod and take a deep breathe. I knew she was right. He was probably dancing with the angels right now. But it was too soon. I can still remember waking up to him sweating and gasping for air. And I can never forget the heart attack that took my husbands life.
