I took out my keys and nervously, I unlocked the door. I didn’t want to disturb Jada, so before I opened the door, I put my finger up to my lips as I opened the door, so he would know to be quiet. His eyes lingered on my lips as I whispered, “My roommate is sleeping. She has class in the morning.” Then I led him into the living room, the moonlight from the door pouring in. He stepped close to me and said, “Should we study here? It might wake your-”

My breath caught in my throat and my hand clasped over his mouth before I could think what to do next. If she woke and found him here, I didn't know what would happen.

I could see his eyes go wide in the moonlight.

“I’m sorry, but you have to be quiet.” I whispered. “Her room is right there...” I pointed to Jada’s door and let my hand slide off his mouth then, causing his bottom lip to part.

God, his lips felt soft against my hand. Imagine his kisses... and just that thought brought on the butterflies again.

And the way he was looking at me now…

I laughed at the thought. Some cute guy shows me attention and my mind goes off imagining the impossible.

Pathetic.

At that, I shut the door and as it got darker I reached out, trying to find him to lead him to the stairs...

His hand immediately found mine. My whole body seemed to burn with heat.

Relax, I thought. He just needs to be led, that is all. The room is dark. I led him to the stairs and almost fell when he laced his fingers through mine.

Ok. Now that means something. And I was sure of it.

Why was he doing this? He can’t possibly want me… plus I’m a student!

And professors didn’t do that with their students…

More heat.

I pretended to ignore it. We continued up the stairs, and I mounted the last step and turned to the right where my bedroom was. As we entered my room, I went to turn on my light. That's when Julian gently caught my arm with his free hand and stopped me.

I froze. Oh, god. What is he going to do now?

“Jenna.”

For the hundredth time, my heart hammered beneath my chest in nervousness.

Suddenly, he was in front of me. I could see the moonlight from my window reflecting off his face.

“Wh-what are you doing?” I asked. My nervousness was clear in my voice. I couldn’t hide it.

He backed me to the wall where my light switch was, so close I could smell his cologne. I could even feel his body heat. It all made my head swim. It was a while before he answered. He was just standing close to me.

“Something I shouldn’t be.” He admitted.

His breathing matched mine as his hand slowly made its way up, until it was at my face. His thumb traced a tingling trail across my cheek, and I closed my eyes, disbelieving. He seemed nervous too. He couldn’t be as nervous as me… plus with how attractive he was, he was probably a pro at all this…

Then I realized I could feel his hand trembling as he continued to rub my cheek softly with his thumb.

Yes, he definitely appeared to be nervous. I unconsciously leaned toward his hand and inhaled his scent. He smelled wonderful. I was a still so nervous it bordered on fear, but I relished the moment. I didn’t know what his intentions were, but his hand caressing my face was comforting to me. His hand brushed a strand of hair away from my face. It must have escaped my ponytail. I wondered why he was he standing this close to me. Was he going to try something or not?
