The sound of the final buzzer signaled the end of the game, and the kids from the winning team leaped up from their seats to celebrate their victory. It was such a nice sight to see. Kids that were so young, but were already showing such joy and happiness for the sport. It made me smile as I looked on.
I wish that Niall would have been able to come with me. He would've loved it. He was such a sports buff. Any age, or team, and he was all over it. I decided to send him a quick text to check up on him.
I stood up from the bleachers, and stayed behind as everybody began to file out of the gym. When I was the only person left, I made my way towards the double doors and looked over all of the trophies and display cases before leaving the building.
I didn't realize that the game had continued on for so long because the sun was now setting. Looking at my watch, I saw that I had already been at the park for about three hours. I didn't want to be walking alone when it got darker, so I began to make my way towards the park's exit.
People could still be heard from the distance way across the park and I put my headphones in, wanting to listen to nothing else but my music. Routinely, I looked down at my feet as I began to walk.
Harry's P.O.V
I saw her go in there, but didn't want to follow her and risk her seeing me. I walked around the entire building just looking at everything that was present to see. Various team photos and trophies aligned display cases on both sides of the long hallway leading towards the gym. The pictures were obviously old, their corners yellowed with age. As I was reading an old article from the 50's, a loud buzzer followed by squeals and cheers could be heard in the distance.
"Shit." I cursed aloud. I knew that any moment everybody would be piling out of that gym. Jennifer among those people.
I scurried outside, and took my place behind a large tree nearby. I peeked to see parents, kids, and teens chatting excitedly while walking off to the parking lot. I was so glad that nobody noticed me, one of the good things about the all black wardrobe I displayed 95% of the time.
Just as everyone began to disappear from the surrounding area, she walked out. She looked out in the distance, but didn't turn her head towards my direction. She took her phone out, plugged in her headphones, and began to walk to leave the park. I, of course followed discreetly behind her.
Why must she always stare at the ground while walking? It must be a bad habit of hers. I could hear her softly humming to the music she was listening to. I let out a chuckle as her hips seemed to move to the beat, her hair swinging back and forth.
She had an amazing figure, not too skinny, but not too thick. She had a small waist, but her hips were adequately wide. It was perfect. Out of all the girls I had seen, it was very rare that they had figures like hers. Most of them were basically just skin and bones.
I was far enough from her to not make it obvious to others that I was following her, but close enough to get to her if anything were to occur. She was too distracted staring down at her phone screen.
We were now nearing the entrance to the campus, the steps only a few feet up.
"Please pay attention now Jennifer. C'mon look up." I softly spoke to myself as if she could possibly hear me.
"You're gonna tri..." Just as I was about to finish my sentence, my prediction came true.
She missed a step and let out a yelp as she landed on the step below her. Her hand was wrapped around her phone, so she didn't have time to catch herself. Her headphones were yanked out of her ears. Without thinking, I immediately ran to her side.
