I couldn't process what had just happened in the last 20 minutes. This boy who didn't even know my name literally just had me accompany him to have a "drink", but basically just ended up leaving me. I just figured he was either drunk or a douchebag, so I shrugged it off and continued to gulp down my drink. As I made my way to walk out of the kitchen, I bumped into Zayn.

"Hey Jenn! Nice to see ya again!" he had a smile plastered on his face, and his eyes were a little bit glossy. I could definitely tell that he had been drinking since we last were in the kitchen.

"Hey! I've been looking for y'all everywhere! Where've y'all been?" I asked.

"Just here, there, basically everywhere I guess. But I'm low on fuel, so I had to make a pit stop." He smiled as he showed me his empty beer bottle before chunking it in the trash.

"Nice." I took another sip from my own bottle and realized that I had finished it as well.

"So, been having fun?" he asked as he filled up a red cup with whatever the keg next to him contained.

Let's see, I was left all alone in a kitchen, my best friend was on the verge of being completely wasted, and some jerk basically had me follow him around this house only to leave me alone again.

"Yeah, loads." I sarcastically remarked. "Do you know when we're going to leave exactly?"

"It's barely midnight, the fun is just getting started! Here have another one of these and follow me!" He handed me another opened Smirnoff bottle and grabbed my hand.

As soon as we stepped out of the kitchen, we walked straight to the dance area. The strobe lights were wildly moving and the music was still loud and bumping.

"Have you danced any tonight?" Zayn asked me as he led the way.

"No, I haven't gotten the chance! I was looking for you guys and then..."

"Oh my gosh Zayn! We finally meet again!" I turned to see a girl with brown hair practically throw herself into his arms.

"Oh hey Amy!" Zayn definitely looked like he was taken off guard, but didn't seem bothered at all as he quickly returned the gesture and embraced her in a hug.

"I hope you haven't forgotten about our dance!" She said as she leaned out of the hug to give him a wink and cheeky smile.

"Ha! Of course I haven't! I was just refilling and then I ran into my friend!" He turned to point at me.

"It's fine, just as long as you didn't forget! Do you mind if I steal him from you for a bit?" she asked me.

"No, not at all! Go ahead!" I gave them both an encouraging smile.

"Thanks Jenn. I'll catch you later." Zayn leaned in to whisper in my ear and I was glad that I could even hear him over the loud music.

As I watched them walk off to the dance floor, I decided to go sit on one of the surrounding bar stools and continue to drink my drink. I couldn't help but giggle at everything that was going on around me. There was a random guy passed out on the couch across the room, this one couple was basically having sex on the dance floor, and this guy not too far from me was steady trying to get chose by any girl that would pass him by. Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

"Excuse me, is anybody sitting here?" I turned to see a guy with light messy hair and stubble. He wore a tight fitted v-neck shirt and blue jeans.

"No, go ahead." I motioned for him to take the seat next to me.

"Thanks." he shot me a warm smile.

"You're welcome." I returned a smile. Like most of the guys I saw here, he was really cute. I had a bad habit of not knowing how to react to good looking guys. I didn't know how to flirt at all, and even worse I could never tell when a guy was flirting with me. I always did what I thought best and just stayed quiet, hoping that they would talk to me.
