Chapter 9

Kimberley's POV

"Hey there I'm Jake and this is Ben, Leo, Lauren, Kayleigh and Harry. You're new aren't you?" Smiles a good looking boy who I recognise from geography class.

"Yeah.. Hey jake and hi everyone. Yup I started here yesterday" I smile back

"Cool, wanna hang out with us.. Erm.." Begins Harry

"Kim" I finish for him.

"Kim, that's a cool name, so do you want to come with us?" Says Kayleigh

"Yeah you're so pretty, I love your hair it's gorg babe!" Squeals Lauren.

"Sorry about them, they're all retarded" jake laughs

"Haha thanks Lauren and Kayleigh yeah I'd love to" I reply with the biggest smile I could manage, not that there is much to smile about. We all laugh walking down the path towards the school building. I notice Ben walks ahead of everyone else, I haven't spoken to him yet so I decide to start a conversation, walking a little faster I say hi and a wide, friendly.. Genuine smile creeps onto his evenly tanned, strong jawed face.

"Hey, Lauren was right you know you are really pretty" he blushes and quickly looks away.

"Thanks Ben, you're kinda cute too" I reply blushing but not quite as much as Ben.

I'm in most of my new friends' lessons so I usually sit with jake, ben or Lauren. Kayleigh and Leo are in the other forms so we only see them at lunch and breaks.

I haven't spoken to cheryl yet, but she hasn't spoken to me either. I see her looking at me sadly in lessons. Now here I am sat on a picnic table with the others when Ben who is next to me but 1 challenges the boys to an arm wrestle they say no and he takes the piss out of them for it and then asks if us girls want a match and everyone says no and I feel bad so I volunteer to play him. He wins easily but our hands stay connected playing with each others fingers while the others carry on chatting and we just stare into each others eyes when I notice something out of the corner of my eye. Cheryl is looking straight at us. Oh no. I hope she isn't upset. It doesn't mean anything.

Cheryl's POV

I can see kimba and Ben the bender holding hands across a table staring into each others eyes. How can she do this to me?! She runs out on me basically telling me she didn't want anyone and there she is holding hands with some guy she's known five minutes.

*dinnnnngggg* goes the bell and kimbas gang get up and leave the table then Ben pulls kim away from the others slightly whispers something in her ear and then kisses her on the cheek and her eyes light up and she nods eagerly and pulls him into a cosy hug. Tears sting my eyes and I only just realise Nicola has been trying to talk to me

"Earth to chezbomb! Chez you okay babes?"

"Yeah I'm fine, sorry I was in my own world babe" I reply

"Okay let's go find Sarah and nads hun"

"Hm yeah sure"
