A few weeks after the mysterious violin player upreared, my 16th birthday came up. I was scared, but I got the courage to ask Saiya-sama for a birthday present. Last time I asked for one, I was yelled at, and locked in my room for 2 days with no food. That was when I was 10.
I walked to the dining room. Saiya and her mother were being served by Sebastian. I breathed.... and out. I hadn't received a present in 8 years. I slowly walked towards them. "U-um, since it's my 16th birthday, I was wondering if I could have my violin. I promise i would work harder. Please, just let me have it back," I pleaded. ".....fine. You better work double time. Do all of the jobs by yourself for 2 days, and I'll let you have it."
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I inwardly congratulated myself. I got my violin back!! I thanked Saiya-sama, and went to the bedrooms. Dia, Ran, Miki, and Su were getting ready for work. I said," Guys, no work for you today or tomorrow. Take the day off, have some fun. Bye!" I said about to run out. Ran grabbed my arm. "Why? What about you?" she asked. "Saiya-sama said that if I did all of the work today and tomorrow, I would get my violin back!" I replied. They starred at me in awe. "Wow." Miki whispered. "Yeah."
After that, I got to work. Let me tell ya, it was hard. I had to do EVERY THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to clean dishes, trim bushes, do laundry, make lunch, do errands, fix and sew clothing, ect. Same thing for the next day, ecept that I had to follow Saiya around town and help her find the perfect dress for the new years ball that was in 6 months. Yeah, she was smart and got her dress WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ahead of time. We went to literally 20 different stores to find the perfect dress. At the 21 store, Saiya found the perfect dress. I would love it as well, but I knew that would never happen in my life time.
She bought the dress, and we left. We rode home in the carriage, and I got her dressed into the dress. I will admit, it looked good on her. The rosy red of the dress complimented her hair and complexion. I imagined myself wearing the dress. I smiled, but it faltered when Saiya called me.
The next morning at breakfast, Saiya-sama brought me into another room. She brought out the violin and handed it to me. "Thank you!" I exclaimed. She just simply turned around and walked away. I opened the case and saw the violin. I closed it again, and ran to my room. I hid the violin in a hidden place under the floorboards.
At midnight, I was still up, but in my nightgown. I looked out at the night sky. I could see the lights of the castle. Saiya's house was right out of the castle gates, and I could sometimes see people looking out of their windows. Only a single light was on in the castle, and that was usual. That light was always on. I remember hearing violin music coming from there the night before.
I grabbed my violin and played it quietly. It was a well known lullaby, and I knew parts of the song that most people didnt know. After me playing it for only a moment, the mysterious person began to play along. When the familiar part ended, I began to pley the not well known part. It had the most complex part, and was just barely able to do it. The song ended, and I waited.
The mysterious person played a chord, and vanished. Every night at midnight, the mystery person and I played our violins together. This went on for a week, until the person didnt reply. I siged, and just went to sleep.
