Chapter 6.
Lily's.
My dad used to tell me when I was 9 years old. 'Sweetie, teenage is the best age. You will love it. I promise! Make good friends, and everything is going to be awesome.' And I used to stupidly smile back and hope for the best. God, my dad really broke his promise.
He says it is going to be the best age? Fuck it.
Studies fuck me everyday. Teen drama fucks me everyday. My life fucks me everyday. I am so fucked up, hell!
Is this what my dad meant when he said 'you will enjoy it'? I don't think so.
But, I guess, he was not wholly wrong. I mean, I have good friends (might I include Sebastian and Chris), I have a roof over my head, I have food to eat, and a good opportunity to study and become a capable adult. What else should I ask for? Some people my age don't even have the basic things I mentioned above.
Thinking about the poor and hungry kids around the world, I quickly climbed one floor up, as it is chemistry period now. Checking on my social media, I enter the class.
There, I see that people are putting their mobile phones inside a basket, just outside the classroom. I was puzzled.
"Excuse me? Why do we need to put our phones in here?" I ask a guy, who I recognize as Shawn or something.
"It's the test, don't ya know?" He replies, putting his mobile in the basket and heading inside the class.
I try to think what was happening, when my whole world stumbles down as realization strikes me.
For those who don't have an idea, it is a rule in my school to place all gadgets (like mobiles) outside the class during the test, in a basket provided for the same.
I was completely shocked. I quickly take out my notebook (where I write down all important things) and open a random page. There it is, written in bold letters.
'GODZILLA TAKING TEST ON FRIDAY!'
And that confirmed it. Yes, indeed I have a test today.
And I have studied nothing.
And I am going to fail.
And finally Godzilla will get a chance to eat me up.
And I am doomed for sure.
Yay!
Shit.
All I do is run inside the class (after placing my phone in the basket), and take out my chemistry notes.
I see Kai sitting on a bench on the third row.
I walk up to her and she instantly growls at me, "Why didn't you fucking remind me about the shitty test today?!" Maybe she has also not prepared for today.
I snap back, "And guess what? We both are failing!"
She chuckles and looks back into her book. I secretly hope that some sudden earthquake should occur, or Godzilla must fall from the stairs (that's so rude), or the question papers should get burned down or misplaced, anything, which may postpone the test. I take the seat in front of Kai, quickly trying to mug up everything in the book in front of me.
But distraction is a bitch, right?
Oh gods seriously I am not able to focus. Common Lily, you can do this. Go!
What kind of an equation is that?
Why is it so huge oh my god?
Oh that's a cute google doodle I made last night.
