My younger sister, Millie woke up.
"If you're hungry, there's food on the bag over there." I told her.
"What are you gonna do now?" David asked.
"Well, what do you mean?" I asked him.
"Like, what's gonna happen now? we can't just sit here forever." He said.
"Haven't thought about that yet." I told him half smiling.
I heard something outside and decided to look out the window. I lightly dusted off the window to see what was going on.
I looked around the street until I saw a shadow. Actually, I saw about seven.
"You gonna give it back?" I heard someone say. "It's mine! I found it and you stole it!" Another voice shouted.
"Mom!," I shouted on a quiet whisper. "I need to go out there!" I said.
"No, it's too dangerous!" She scolded.
"Mom, I have to or this person will die!" I said going for the army gun and heading out the door to the upstairs. I walked out and quietly walked around to the alley. I still heard shouting and arguing. I stepped out, "Hey! Leave em' alone!" I shouted not knowing what would happen next.
"Whadayou want!" A raspy voice shouted.
"I want you to leave him alone.." I said sternly.
"You think we're scared of ya?" One of the men shouted. I took the gun out from behind me and shot one shot in the air.
"You have 5 seconds to get outta here or else..." I said hoping my plan would work. It sounded corny but hopefully it'd work.
"5...4...3...2...1..." I got to zero and walked up closer. "You know, I don't wanna do this but I need you to just leave...him...ALONE!" I said shooting through the crowd of people. Everyone ran away from the guy. One limped away.
I ran back to the house so I wouldn't get caught outside of the house.
"Thank...You!.." I heard the person that I literally saved.
"No problem!" I shouted back at him.
I got inside and went back to the basement.
----Nighttime----
It's was dark and I was tired. Everyone else was asleep while I was drawing. when I'm bored, I draw. its a way to pass time so why not?
I decided that I'd go to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be exciting.
----Morning----
I woke up instantly after having a terrible nightmare. I really didn't know what the dream meant, all I know is that it was very realistic. My nightmare was about something big that would happen. Soon, I guess. We didn't make it out alive. I couldn't quite remember what was going on.
I am getting sick of being in this house 24/7. What to do?
"Let's go." I said getting up from the uncomfortable chair.
"Where are we going?" Mille asked.
"I don't know, but we have to go somewhere. I am so tired of just sitting
around." I said slinging the gun around my chest. "If anyone wants to come, go ahead."
"Claire, I agree we should leave but where do you suppose we go?" Mom said.
"Mom, trust me. I know what I'm doing." I said.
We grabbed everything we needed and went outside. The Sun was so bright.
"This way." I said pointing north.
Everyone stayed close to each other. My mom carried Millie in her arms like a baby. We got to a street and watched as a truck passed. We hid behind a bush. We all heard footsteps behind us. We looked back. Nothing was there.
When we turned around, there was someone standing straight in front of us all....
A/N: Well this chapter was short but I promise the next one will be much longer. I wanted to wait to put the new part in the next chapter so I could write more on the next. Thanks for reading!
