"What happened to your face?!!" Tanong ni Mama when I arrived. Napatayo talaga siya at lumapit sakin.
May pasa ako sa mukha. Blame this on Dada! Ayun siya nakaupo sa likod at nakakatitig sa akin.
"I fell while biking last night." Lusot ko. Hinaplos niya ang pisngi ko and it brought back a memory.
Flashback (2010)
"That's my candy!!" I said to Logan who stole the candy that Ms. Paulyn gave.
"Na uh this is ain't your candy anymore runny nose!" He said and pushed me to the pole which hit my right cheek so hard.
He left laughing while everyone else are laughing.
I sat on the bench while waiting for Dada to fetch me. Where is she? It's been 30 minutes since the class ended!
"Junielle I'm so sorry!!"
I looked at Mama who's running towards me. Oh! She's fetching me right now, I thought Dada will fetch me.
She got this wavy dark brown long hair and she is a vampire. She and Dada are vampires actually, they don't age. Just kidding but yeah, they still look young.
Like right now, Mom wears a plain white shirt and black short pants and she wears black chucks. She looks like a teenager I swear. People often asked me if Mom and I are siblings, which is odd.
Two months ago, she just gave birth to twins. Elle and Ashley, which Ate Danielle named after her.
Mom is so fit, so as Dada.
"Sorry for being late. Your Dada and I brought the twins to the clinic because- what happened to your face?" She asked and looked at me straightly. She held my cheek and I flinched in pain.
"There's a bruise over here. What happened?" She asked seriously and sat down beside me.
"Nothing."
"Come on, you can tell me. I won't get mad I promise." She said and raised her right hand.
"Logan stole the candy that Ms. Paulyn gave me for acing the math test. He pushed me towards the pole and my cheek was hit." I said sadly and frowned. She clapped her hands and smiled widely, weird?!
"You aced the math test?! I'm so proud of you! Manang mana ka talaga sa Dada mo." She said while clapping. She caressed my cheek again and smiled softly.
"Hey, you know I used to be bullied by my classmates before. I guess we have the same faith hahaha. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself Junie, I know how you feel." She said and sighed. But still, I'm sad because I wanted that candy.
"Uy! Don't think about the candy, I can buy you more. Our favorite, M&M's!" She said joyfully. I smiled when I heard M&M's.
"Let's go to M&M World Mommy!"
"Promise me first that hindi ka na sad. Smile na Junie." She said and pouted. I laughed and nodded my head.
"Hindi na ako sad Mommy!" I said and grinned widely. She smiled widely and held my hand. We went to her car and she drove going to M&M World. It's just a couple minutes of drive, nasa Manhattan man rin ang school namin.
Mommy acted like a child when we went inside and it's really good to see her like this.

"Dash? Are you okay?" I snapped back when Mom spoke.
"Masakit ba? Sorry if I made you cry." She said and frowned. Huh?! I held my face and it's wet because of the tears. I quickly wiped it and chuckled.
