Chapter 2: What Is This?

Charlie ＊POV＊

I seriously do not know what happened.

That moment kept on repeating in my head... Kaiylln was crying. Even though I know she was just laughing at me being awesome as always. She was still CRYING! I don't know why but my heart broke when I sa tears on her cheek. It didn't seem natural for Kaiylln to cry. She seemed so happy, upbeat, feisty, and just totally not moody! I dint even know why I'm thinking this to myself!!!

STOP IT BRAIN! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS?

Geez... I thought. 'Why do I care? Well of course I care! She's my best friend no doubt. I'll have to stop doing this to myself. She only sees me as a friend' I told myself this and I couldn't helpbut feeling a little hurt. I don't know what's with me. I know for sure that I'm only going to be friends and friends only...

SO WHY AM I LIKE THIS?!?

I just need a shower... I though to myself. Walking home I took deep breaths and tried not to worry to much. After all, it is Kaiylnn's birthday. I'm her best friend and I have to show my support. Geez... I REALLY NEED A SHOWER...

I got home and the first thing I see is my little sister and little brother fighting with noodles. In their diapers.

"Mom!!!" I yelled to the kitchen where she surely was. "What's going on here?" Trying to stifle my laughter I walked over to the kitchen.

"Oh that dear?" She laughed and replied, "I made a mistake of cooking spaghetti and leaving the pot alone for 3 seconds." She shook her head. "I shops have known something was wrong when I started hearing Ben and Andrea laughing!"

As if on cue, Ben and Andrea ran throughout the kitchen and started throwing wet noodles at each other. Of course they had horrible aim and those stray noodles hit the refrigerator, sink table, and practically everything that wasn't a human being. One actually got on my face and I picked up Ben and used him as an airplane and whooshed him around the kitchen. Andrea looked mortified as Ben flew around swinging spaghetti everywhere. This was too much for my mom and she ended up snapping a few pictures, laughing to herself.

"Oh Charlie!" she exclaimed."You guys are so ADORABLE!!!" Typical thing for my mom to say when very thing in the kitchen was covered in wet noodles.

"Alright guys!" I scolded my siblings. "Remember next time... Make sure you save some noodles for me!!!" After poking their bellies Ben and Andrea ran to the living room, leaving me and my mom to clean things up.

RING RING

I got a text from Kaiylnn.

OMFG!!! Charlie the weirdest thing happened!!! Reply ASAP!!! Just... OMFG!!!

Wonder what that was about... Well I'll reply as soon as I clean up.

After a tiresome cleanup job. My baby sister and brother were finally asleep. They were drooling and I couldn't help but see how adorable they looked. Trouble maker and all. I quickly remembered to text Kaiylln back.

WAZZUP? So what happened? Should I be concerned ;)

I thought she would take a few minutes to reply, but got a quicker response... Almost immediately.

OMG! When I went to the mall... Something happened. Something I never... JUST I'LL TELL YOU TOMORROW!!! :(

Woah... Whatever she had to tell me was important... I couldn't wait to figure what it was. Smiling to myself I wondered if she finally saw me more than a friend. But that's not what it looked like.
