Kaiylln *POV*

I got dressed. My talk with Charlie went AMAZING! Of course he teased me, but that's what he always did.

I smiled to myself. I couldn't ask for a better best friend...

But some part of me wondered... Does he think of me more than just his best friend?

Pssh... Yea right! Charlie had enough girls around him to last forever...

I slightly frowned... I noticed out of the corner of my eye a present. I realized I haven't opened Charlie's present yet...

I peeled away the red and golden wrapping paper. Inside that wrapping was a little box. And inside that box was the most beautiful thing I ever saw...

It was a necklace... The golden tresses led me to the little half golden heart charm. On the front it said Forever &.

On the back, there was an engraving of some sort. I couldn't read it clearly but I knew Charlie had the other half.

I felt all giddy inside. Butterflies danced and fluttered all around. It was so sweet... Charlie was so sweet...

My dad poked his head into my room, "That's gorgeous honey! Who has the other half? Is it... Charlie? Or is it another admirer?"

My face flushed a deep red. "Geez Daddy!" I opened the door for him. "Will you just put it on for me?"

He looked closely at the into the intricate design on the front. "Aww... You're getting me all mushy sweetie!" He went behind me as I held up my hair. The cold metal touched my skin ever to gently...

"Well then, would you mind me going to the movies?" I asked him, pouting my lips.

"Just depends... Who are you going with?" He asked suspiciously, and teasingly.

"No one!" I said exasperated. "It's just Charlie and me."

"Oh... Looks like my baby is finally growing up." My dad said tearfully. "I remember when you two first met in kindergarten. It was a school play and the act was the three little piggies."

I laughed at the memory. "Yea I remember too. Charlie was the wolf and I was the one who built the brick house."

He chuckled softly to himself. "Yea... You wouldn't let him in even when he tried to climb the stairs behind the stage to get onto the chimney." We both laughed, remembering the time me and Charlie soon became best friends.

RING RING

My dad looked at my phone. "Looks like Charlie is going to pick you up."

"Okay then! I'll be bcd at around um... 9?" I suggested.

"Well since its Charlie..." He thought for a second. "Just have fun!"

I hugged my dad tightly. "Thanks daddy!" I screamed happily, laughing and skipping around him like a little girl.

"Sure! Just make sure not to bust my eardrums while you're fangirling!"

"Will do!" A car honked outside. "Looks like that's for me!" I ran downstairs, hollered a quick goodbye and put on some Nikes.

"Hey!" Charlie called. "What movie did you plan to watch?"

"Well... I was sort of thinking of watching Devil's Due." I suggested while I got into his car.

"Oh geez! I didn't know you had the stomach to watch anything scary Kaiylln!" He teased me sarcastically. "Alright then, why not?"

"Woohoo!" I fist pumped. "Scary movie night!"
