Chapter Ten

(Lloyd's POV)

"Oh, shit!" Ollie exclaimed in a hushed voice, "He got Mom!" She glared at Jay and punched his arm again. "You jinxed it!" He opened his mouth to reply but I cut him off. "So, what are we gonna do?" I asked. Ollie started pacing to and fro, thinking hard. "I'm calling the police if you don't open this door in twenty seconds!" Ollie's mom shrieked, banging on the door even louder. Ollie looked around, then grabbed Tym and Austin. "Tell her I left or something," she instructed, "We'll hide somewhere safe." She turned to me and kissed me. "I love you," she whispered, "Forever and always. Got it?" I nodded, feeling a little uneasy about her words. "Forever and always," I replied, kissing her again. She pulled away, then ran off with her sisters. "Well, that was strange," Kai said, before turning around, "Do you know why..." He broke off in surprise. "Hey, where's Naomi?" Zane stepped forward. "She must have gone with Olivia to make sure they do not get found." Kai made a disbelieving face, then shrugged it off. "That's it!" Ollie's mother's bell like shriek interrupted our thoughts, "I'm calling the police!" I quickly ran and opened the door to see a woman with dead straight, silky blond hair and diamond blue eyes, wearing a short black dress with black heels and one if those fancy black hats women where to the horse races and funerals. Mrs Johnson. "Who died?" I heard Jay whisper to Nya, who giggled softly at his terrible joke. Mrs Johnson's piercing blue eyes examine us suspiciously, before she stepped inside, followed by Oliver. "Where are my daughters and niece?" she asked in a highly disapproving voice. I shrugged, acting like I didn't know what she was talking about. I hoped the others were doing the same, which I think they did as Ollie mum turned to Oliver, even more disapproving than before. "You told me they were here," she said. Her voice was do calm, it was kinda intimidating. "They are here, mother," Oliver protested, before pointing at me, "He's just hiding her because he's her apparent, ugh, 'boyfriend'." I glared at him. "Not apparent 'boyfriend'. I am her boyfriend, you idiotic snob," I snapped at him. Well, in my head at least. If there is one thing I've learned, it's never diss a kid in front of his mom, especially when his mom is the richest woman in all of Ninjago. Who was now glaring at me. "I will not ask again. Where are my daughters and niece?" I shrugged again. Her eyes narrowed to runny slits. Not a good sign. "Where. Are. They?" she growled, which wasn't very lady-like, in my opinion. "She said she wouldn't ask again, but look at that. She did," Jay whispered sarcastically, earning another giggle fit from Nya and probably a punch from one of the others, considering the 'ow' that came a second later. Finally, I sighed in what I hoped sounded like defeat. "Okay, you got us," I said. "What are you doing?" Cole whispered, thinking I was going to betray Ollie and Naomi. I shushed him and looked back at Oliver and his mother. "They left because Ollie...I mean Olivia knew you'd get your mother and, we'll, she grabbed her sisters and Naomi and left before you got back." I looked down to make it convincing. After a minute, I looked up again. Oliver was glaring at me. "He's lying, mom! Olivia is hiding somewhere in this ship with them!" he smiled evilly at me, "It'll take a lot more to fool me." He shoved past me and we chased after him as he ran down the hall, slamming open doors to find only empty rooms  until he had opened every door except one-the one leading to mine and Ollie's room. "Oh no," Kai whispered, "They're busted." We watched in horror as he turned the door handle and swung the door open. He walked inside and we ran after him. "Leave then alo..." My sentence trailed off as I noticed the room was empty. No Ollie. No Tym. No Austin. No Naomi. Oliver turned to us, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "Well, I guess you didn't lie about Ollie running off," he said softly, for once not using hey full name, "Sorry." And then he left. Me and Kai exchanged confused looks, then ran forward to frantically search the room for any sign of our girls. "Hey, Lloyd, Kai, check this out!" Jay called from the window. We ran over to him and saw he was holding a piece of paper. "What..?" Before I could finish, he shoved it in my hand. I unfolded it and started reading.

Dear Lloyd, Kai, and others,

We have left the bounty. Naomi knew, no matter what, Oliver wouldn't believe you and would search for us, so we climbed out the window and are going to hide somewhere safe for a while, until everything dies down, because my mom will send out search parties for us, she did the first time. We don't know how long it'll be for, And we hope you will wait for our return. Remember. Forever and always.

I looked up as a tear trickled siren my cheek. "Lloyd? What's wrong?" Nya asked worriedly. When I didn't answer, they read the note over my shoulder. Kai was the first to react. "No," he whispered, sadness filling his voice. "Oh, Lloyd," Nya said sympathetically, touching my shoulder gently. I looked out the window. "They're gone," I whispered sadly, before I realised. They were give because of Oliver. Suddenly, my despair was replaced with rage. I crumpled the note in my fist and felt a growl rip through my body. "He is going to pay for this," I growled, "He is going to wish that he had never found her again."
