Hello! Sapphire here. Today I'm going to be continuing on with 'My Misophonia Diary'.

This Day, I will be telling you how Misophonia started 'bothering' my life. I still remember it perfectly well.

Every Christmas/December, my family and I would usually go back to Indonesia and Japan to visit our relatives.

When I was about 5 or 4 years old, we went back to Indonesia to visit our relatives. One day, when we were in the shopping mall, we entered into an elevator. There were about 6 or 7 people in the elevator including my family. The elevator was big, and it was without 'elevator music'.

When we entered into the elevator there was this 20 or 19-year-old man, (I'm not really sure how old he was but that's just an estimation.). He started tapping his foot and I kind of got annoyed by it. Keep in mind, there was no elevator music so you could clearly hear it.

After about 3 minutes, we were on the right floor, and the man was also going to go out of the elevator with us. So when we got out, I decided that I would step on the man's foot. So I did :P.

To be honest, it actually made me calm, which was weird. I know, stepping on someone foot doesn't necessarily make you calm, but that was just me. My parents were kind of confused because they didn't know exactly why I stepped on his foot. They asked me why I stepped on his foot.

I said,

"It was an accident!"

Of course, your parents can tell if you are lying or not, so obviously, they knew that wasn't the truth :P.

As I grew up, I started to learn how to be a little more patient and how to stop 'stepping on people's foot when they tapped their foot continuously'. But you know, it's still a bit difficult.
