Day 4

It's been a really, really long time! But, because of the comments I saw this morning, it pushed me to write more about Misophonia.

Recently, I would say my Misophonia/Misokinesia isn't as bad as it was at the start. Although I still am very annoyed at the people who are tapping their fingers, clicking their pen, bouncing their foot and the list goes on.

I certainly know that in class A HUGE amount of people do the things that trigger me. So what I always did was literally put my hands right above my eyes so that I couldn't see anything. It helped a little bit, but for some reason, even though I couldn't see people doing the things I hate seeing, I was still really anxious and upset.

I kind of wished that more people knew about Misophonia/Misokinesia, so that someone would actually find some sort of really good treatment/cure that would help me a lot.

A few weeks ago, I found out a few things that helped me cope a little bit when someone triggered me:

- Ask to leave the class/room when somebody is triggering you.

e.g:

"Can I please go to the bathroom?"

"Can I please get some fresh air?"

- Close your eyes, and try to block everything out. Breathe deeply.

Those are the two things that helped me cope. But, keep in mind, these do not CURE, only help you cope.

Thank you guys, see you in my next post and don't lose hope! :)
