Velocity
I pull out the change from my pocket and begin boarding the bus, giving the girl that just bumped into me an ugly look. She apologizes quickly, and I guess she is in a hurry. I roll my eyes and give the driver the money.
A villain like me, taking the bus and actually paying? It's embarrassing.
My eyes scan everywhere until they find an empty spot near a boy in the back. There's another one in the front, but even from here, I can tell her baby has a full diaper.
I walk to the back and sit, the boy barely acknowledging me. It's okay, 'cause I won't be here for long.
At the next stop, I get off, make sure no one is looking, and take off. The feeling of covering ten miles in just thirty one seconds is amazing. I get home, ask my parents for more money for the bus fare, and make my way to the nearest stop.
Then I wait.
Sure, it's the seventh time I do this, but I change clothes so no one recognizes me.
And every time, the adrenaline rush is greater than the last, so there's that too.
