It was hard being a monster and a hunter. You were always on the run. When you weren't hunting other monsters, you were changing your appearance so that you could blend in and not get caught by other hunter and other monsters.

During an especially hard case, you were hunter other skinchangers, and you happened upon two other hunters, so you tried to stay out of their way, but you and them ended up in the same building after all of you ended up tracking the skinchanger there.

You didn't realize that they were there until you happened to run into one as you rounded the corner. Whoever it was was solid and sturdy, and made you close to falling on your ass, but whoever it was caught you by the arm before you did. "Woah there." It was a low voice, and very gruff.

He pulled you back up, and you got a good look at him. It was the one hunter you had seen earlier, the really attractive one. You two stared between each other neither of you saying anything. The way he was staring at you made you start to feel self conscious, and whenever that happens your hair starts to change color, but you couldn't have this hunter knowing what you were, so you quickly turned and sprinted away.

"Hey, where are you going?!" The guy called after you, but you kept running.

Finally, you found and empty room, and you shut the door. You breathed in and out as you clutched your silver blade. Even though the handle was covered with leather, you could still feel the sting of the silver, but silver was the only thing that could kill your people.

"Where are you?!" It was the same voice of the guy who had run into. He started knocking on the door that you were now cowered behind. "I won't hurt you! I'm here to help!"

"Go away!" You yelled. "I'm fine, I don't need your help."

"You're in danger if you stay here! Now let me in!" He yelled.

"No!" You yelled starting to crawl away from the door towards a vent. Unfortunately the vent was screw shut, but fortunately you had a screwdriver. You started to unscrew the vent, but it was slow work. The man on the other side of the door kept pounding.

As soon as the vent lid was off, the door burst open, and the man yanked you from the vent. He spun you to face him, and you were met with a pair of green eyes staring down at you. "Who are you?" He asked. "Are you with him?!"

You knew what him he was talking about, but if he found out that you were a skinchanger, he was most definitely going to kill you too. "What are you talking about?" You asked scared.

The man looked down at the silver knife in your hands, and he quickly released you. "You're a hunter too." He stated holding out a hand and pulling you up. "Why didn't you just say so?"

You looked passed him, trying to find an exit, but he looked fast, so you decided to play along. "I didn't know if you were skinchanger or not." You said. "So you're a hunter too."

"Dean Winchester." He said holding out his hand. You had heard of the Winchester's, they were famous among monsters and demons. You had to escape before they found out. "You?"

"Y/N." You said, "Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go hunt." You tried to get around him, but he blocked your path. "Something wrong?"

"Why don't you join me and my brother, we can hunt together." He said. "These skinchangers are slippery bastards."

Squeezing your knife in your hand, you shook your head. "I hunt alone." You stepped aside and started walking away.

You walked throughout the building grasping your knife tightly. You kept hearing Dean and Sam yelling to each other throughout the place, and you were trying to avoid them, but after a while you could no longer hear them.

Walking into a large room you sighed as you saw the two of them tied up and gagged. Dean looked at you and started grunting as if he was trying to say something. With another sigh, you walked over to him and pulled the gag away. "Untie us!" Dean said.

"Oh, she won't do that." You spun to see a tall man, the skinchanger. He smirked at you. "She knows if she unties you, you will kill her."

"Why would we do that?" Dean asked as you stood still.

The skinchanger scoffed. "She didn't tell you?" Dean and Sam both looked at you. "You can't tell what she is?" The skinchanger laughed. "She's just like me! She's a skinchanger who plays pretend that she's a hunter."

"What?" Dean said seeing you. "You're a monster!"

You clenched your jaw. "Yes, but I'm not like them." You hissed. "I'm not evil!"

"Ah, but you're a survivor, and that's why you will help me kill them." The skinchanger said.

You held you knife tight. "No, I won't." You lunged at him and stabbed him through the heart. He fell to the ground, and you panted heavily.

After standing there looking at your kind, you turned and looked to the brothers. They were staring at you curiously. You knew what had to be done, and you were ready.  You walked towards Dean, and he tried to push away. "Don't get near me!" He growled, but you didn't listen. Walking behind him, you cut away at his bonds, and then you went to Sam and cut away his.

You backed up, waiting for them to plunge a knife through your chest, but when nothing came, you opened your eyes to see them staring at you. "Why aren't you killing me?" You asked.

"Why did you cut us free?" Sam asked.

"Because you were tied up, and I'm not about to leave someone tied up in a warehouse." You said. "So why aren't you killing me?"

They were silent, and they shared a look, and it was Dean who spoke finally. "Because you're a hunter." He said. "Why would we kill a hunter?"

A small smile broke across your face. "But I'm a monster! A skinchanger!" You said, your smiling falling again.

"You're a skinchanger, but not a monster." Sam said. "Monsters kill humans. Hunters kill monsters."
