When Hermione arrived at the great hall Harry was already waiting by the door
"Merlin, Hermione you look amazing" he smiled, his eyes lighting up behind his glasses

It pained her that he wasn't there, she wished she could share this moment in his arms

After an hour Severus appeared in the hall, he was in deep conversation with Dumbledore
Hermione couldn't believe he actually came, dancing and romance were not his thing

Harry however was left on his own so decided to attack the buffet before Ron ate it all.

Hermione sighed as the cold air hit her cheeks, it was quite hot in the hall so she found it rather refreshing.
She stood for a while taking in the night sky
And suddenly she heard a voice behind her, a voice she loved to hear, deep, powerful, like silk
She turned around and there he was, Severus. Her Severus
"I asked Potter where you had gone and he told me you went outside for fresh air.."
He told her in his slow velvety voice
"I just felt a little hot inside" she smiled nervously and Severus nodded
"You look rather hot out here in the cold too" he smirked and gave a dirty chuckle
Hermione blushed "I missed you Severus" she smiled
"And I missed you Hermione" her name slowly pouring out of his mouth like molten chocolate

"May I have this dance?" Severus asked offering his hand
"I would love that so much" Hermione replied, giving her hand to him
They danced slowly, body to body, they felt comfort in each other's arms
After the song finished they pulled away from each other
"You look breathtaking tonight my love" Severus told her, his cheeks reddening
"Thank you" she beamed up at him, he wanted to kiss her so badly
"Come to me after the ball, please, I'll leave the door open" he sounded desperate for her company
"I will, I promise" she smiled and he turned on his heels and left

Hermione returned to the ball and rushed to Harry
"He danced with me" She beamed
"He wants me to go and see him after the ball" Hermione said with a nervous look
"That's a good thing isn't it?" He asked concerned
"Yes, i just feel so nervous" she replied, looking rather worried
"Don't be, it's obvious he cares for you"
"I know, I'm at the Yule Ball and I actually can't wait to leave" She grinned
Hermione felt so happy she enjoyed the evening and carried on dancing with Harry, and chatting with her friends until the very end of the ball
She hadn't seen Severus since they spoke outside

After the dance Hermione sneaked down the hallways towards the dungeons
She didn't want to be seen by any slytherin's that might be lurking about in the dungeons. After all she was hardly in clothes she would wear for working

She entered the classroom and it was dark, Severus was obviously in his chambers
After knocking on the door he opened it within seconds
He charmed a lock so nobody could enter
Hermione threw her arms around him, and kissed him
He was blinded by how good she looked.
"I love you Severus" she told him nervously

He took her hand and led her into his bedroom

She walked backwards towards the bed slowly and sprawled herself over the silken sheets
