Jade's pov
Chelsea and I were having a girls night in. A kind of slumber party. She really needed this, she was having a hard time because of her parents' divorce.
We were currently watching a horror movie when she decided to bring up Ashton.
"So."
I raised my eyebrow at her. "So?"
She giggled. "How are things between you and Ashton?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"Things are good?" I was confused. I wasn't quite sure what she was getting at.
"Nothing happen between you two?"
"Chelsea, we've only been hanging out for a few weeks, what do you think has happened between us? We haven't jumped each others bones, anyway why would we? We're just friends."
Chelsea rolled her eyes at me and clicked her tongue. "Sure."
"Why are you rolling your eyes?" I asked, chuckling.
"I've seen the way you look at him!"
"I have a way of looking at him?"
"Yeah, like you want to get all down and dirty with him, if you know what I mean." She wiggled her eyebrows at me and that made me burst out laughing. It took me a few minutes to stop laughing. "You're ridiculous, I don't have a 'way' of looking at him."
"Sure, whatever you say."
I threw my pillow at her. "I don't! We're just friends for gods sake."
She caught my pillow and threw it back at me. "Whatever you say Jade, you don't have to tell me that anymore, you were loud and clear." She grinned at me.
"Stop looking at me like that!" I yelled exasperated.
She just started laughing at me. "I bet you in like two months, you two are gonna get together or at least admit that you have feelings for each other."
"We do not have feelings with each other."
"Sure, you two are just looking all lovey dovey at thin air then."
"I swear to god, Chels, you're seeing things, you should probably get your eyes checked out or something."
"You're so in denial, I love it."
"Can we just stop talking about this and get back to watching the movie?"
"Sure, whatever." She couldn't stop smiling at me after that.
It actually got me thinking. Do I look at Ashton a certain way? I don't have feelings for him. I mean, he's a nice guy and all. I did have my doubts about him at first but he's a good guy. Yes, he's handsome, you'd have to be blind not to see that, but he's just a friend. Well, hardly. When do you even start calling each other friends? Yes, we've been hanging out a lot but that's what friends do. Chelsea is seeing things. I don't look at him all lovey dovey. I'd rather get stabbed than have feelings for Ashton. Harsh, I know but we wouldn't be good together, and there's also the question if he would like me and I can tell you right now, he wouldn't. He goes for the pretty tall girls. I'm neither pretty, nor tall. I'm a 17 year old 5'4 Sasquatch looking girl who guys never like. Chelsea could believe what she wanted to but Ashton and I were never going to happen.
