Rose's POV *later that night*

"Where is she?" I hear my dad yell. I feel more hot tear streaming down my face.

"I uh...I don-I don't k-know." I here Adam tell him. I smile slightly, happy my brother is standing up for me. I hear a loud slap and heavy feet down the hallway. I cry silently, my back to the door.

"Open this door right now!" I hear heavy pounding on my door and I cry harder.

"I know your in there, it's where you always hide when you have done something wrong." The only thing I do wrong is let you do this to me, to be so weak. I cry harder and harder as he pounds harder and louder.

"If you don't open this door, I will have to kick it down and you will be in even more trouble." I get up on to my wobbly  legs and open my bedroom door. He walks in, obviously drunk, and shoves across the room hard and hits the foot board of my bed. "you little bitch you thought you could get away from me." He laughs. "You can never get away from me." He slaps me hard across the face, with as much forces as a buff, 6 foot 4 adult man could have in his body.

"Stop...please." I cry hard.

"You're just like your mom." Mom. "Weak and worthless." He pushes me onto the bed. He gets on top of me and starts beating me up. That's the last thing I remember before everything went black.

Vic's POV *2 weeks later*

"Hey Hun." I walk up to Rose after school. She slightly smiles. "Is everything okay?" I whisper into her ear. She shows my bruise on her forearm.

"It's almost all gone. I bet it will be gone by tomorrow." I smile big and kiss her cheek. She blushes and pulls her stuff out. "Are you coming home with me?"

"Would you mind?" She asks as I help her get her coat on.

"Never, after what your Dad did, my mom offered you and Adam to stay at my place."

"Why didn't you tell me this two weeks ago?" She says half jokingly but still very serious.

"I'm sorry." I say as we get into my car. "You just make me forget about life, whenever I go to say it, you giggle at something and I just get side tracked and my mind wonders." She giggles as I start up the car.

"Could we go to my house then pick up my brother once his school gets out?" She pulls on her seatbelt.

"Sure thing." I smile and pull out of the parking lot.

~~~~~~~
Once we get to her house, she drags me in by my wrist and she continues to pull me up the stairs.
"I'm grabbing suit cases and I need you to pack as many of Adams clothes as you can plus his brown bear. He can't sleep without it." She smiles and hands me a large suit case out of the hallway closet.
"Sure thing Humming Bird." I smile and heads to Adams room. It was very simple to find the dresser full of clothes and he didn't have a closet. I end up shoving all Adam's clothes into the rolling back and enough room to get his bear in. I walk over to Rose's room and watch her pack her last couple articles of clothing and a few stuffed animals into her purple roller.
"Just need my dress." She walks into her closet and pulls out a white bag on a hanger, similar to the one Ryley brought home the other day.
"All set?" I ask, she nods and we walk down the stairs, when we hear the front door open. Rose gasps and looks at me. I give her a reassuring look and continue walking down the stairs.
"Where the Hell do you think you are going?" Rose's dad asks, obviously angry.
"She's coming with me." I stand protectively in front of her.
"She is not fit for you." He looks at me in disgust.
"No Dad." Rose stands in front of me. "I'm leaving with him. After what you did, I'm not okay with staying here and we are taking Adam with us." She walks out the door.
"This is all your fault." He spits at me.
"No, that's where you're wrong. You did this to her." I shut the front door. I get in the car and start it up. "He's a monster." I tell her. She nods her head and we drive silently to Adam's elementary school.
~~~~~

 "Hey Adam. We are going home with Vic." Rose says as she gets out of the car and hugs Adam. Without protest, Adam climbs into the back seat and we are on our way.
