Chapter 5

Vic's POV

I wake up from a buzzing. I find my phone over my heart. I flip it over and it's a text from Rose.

Get ur lazy butt up! :)

I laugh, she is so cute and funny and gosh, listen to me. I'm not one to get serious with a girl. I'm more of a friend with benefits kind of dude. But with her, she makes my heart smile.

LAZY BUTT! GET UP!!!!!!

I'M UP! I'M UP!

I smile at my phone. She's so awesome to talk with...

Good, cuz u have 1 hour

Shit! What time is it?

11:04, I gotta finish getting ready TTFN :P

Ugh. I'm so stupid. I slept in to late. There's no way, I, a guy, can get ready and over to her house in a hour! I rush over to my dresser and pull on new pair of skinny jeans and slip an Of Mice & Men shirt and walk to the bathroom. I bang on the door.

"I'm in the bathroom Vic!" Ryley yells through the door.

"But Ryley." I drag out her name.

"It's a bloody mess in here, still want in?"

"No." I slid the door. "Hurry up though, I gotta be at Rose's in forty five minutes!" I hear the toilet flush and the squeaks of the door opening.

"yes thank you!" I say and kiss her cheek as I run in and lock the door. Ryley's straightener is still plugged in so I just touch up my hair. I then brush my teeth and wash my face. I check the time, yet again. 11:45. I must leave now of I plan on making a good impression so I run down the stairs.

"Bye." I tell my parents and Mike as I grab my keys and my coat. I get into my car and sigh. I look down at my phone. No text from Rose. Good  she doesn't realize what time it is. I pull out of the drive way and drive to her house.

Roses's POV

"He just left." Ryley says to me.

"Was he in a rush?" I had so many butterflies.

"Yes, he really likes you." I hear a beep on the other end. "Oh! That's Tony."

"Leaving me for your boyfriend are you?" I smirk. Her and Tony look so cute together.

"What?"

"Oh! nothing! Talk to you later."

"Uh huh, ok bye." she clicks the phone, ending the conversation. My mind wanders back to Vic. I smile just remembering his twinkling brown eyes. What is my problem? I usually not this concerned with how a guy acts. They usually act like stupid heads anyways and I don't really care for that. Plus, I've always been a one time kind of girl, but with Vic? I'm praying things will be different. I don't want that, I want to cuddle with him on the couch while we watch a scary movie, to hold my hand in public, to be his girl, not just the girl he got his wing ding in that one night while we were drunk at some party. I want him to all me his girlfriend.  Oh my. Victor Fuentes has invaded my mind with his fluffy hair, his big smile and his loud laugh. I'm such a girl. I collapse  into my bed face first. I whine at myself into the pillow.  Do I even really want a boyfriend? All that baggage and responsibility? Yes. my subconscious tells me. I sit up, trying not to mess up my hair and grab my laptop. I search 'perfect first dates'.

"Rose!" my little brother yells. "There's a boy at the door and he says he's looking for you!" I face lights up and I shut down my computer. I grab my purse as I put on my heels. Then, run down the stairs, a skill my mom taught me at a young age. When I get to the kitchen, Vic messing around with my brother. I laugh and pull Vic, by his arm, off of my brother.

"We were just messing around." My brother tells me.

"Sure you were Adam." I roll my eyes and pull Vic out the door with me.

"You look beautiful." I feel Vic's eyes scanning my body up and down. This is the first time it didn't feel sexual, it feels loving.

"Thanks, so do you." I stick my tongue out. Why are you making fun of him Rose?

"I truely mean it. Your more beautiful every time I see you." he blushes and pulls out of my driveway.

"That's sweet." I smile as my ears perk up. "Is this an All Time Low CD playing?"

"Yeah, it's actually my cover of their album."

"It's amazing!" I exlcaim as I turn it up. We start singing along as I begin to dance in the passanger seat. I ceach him looking at me a couple times but I don't care. I love the way his dark brown eyes look at me so kindly. We pull into a local burger joint. I smile beacuse I love burgers then I sigh. I was wearing a loose fitting purple sundress with green hearts. How do I act lady like at a burger joint?

"You ready?" He asks. I smile and shake my head yes. We walk in, it's a small, cozy place, just a tiny bit smaller than a Coney Island. We sit down and begin to look through the menues.

Vic's POV

She was more beautiful than before. I picked a window table just so I could she her in the natural sunlight. Her hair glisten and her dark, ocean blue eyes twinkle. I sigh at her beauty. The waitress Comes back and takes our orders. Both of us just get a regular cheese burger with tomatoes, lettus, kechtup and mayo. When our food comes, I dig right in. Rose on the other hand, was trying to act really lady like and cut her's in half and tried eating it with only 3 fingers from each hand. I giggle a little, she is just so damn cute I can't get over it. She takes one big bite and all her toppings fall out. I just stare at her. Only Rose could manage that.

"Let me help you." I try to make my sexiest smile I can. I lift up her burger and put the fixings back on. "You dont have to be so lady like." I begin to eat some fries. "I want the real Rose, not the one with a mask on." She just laughs and eats her burger like a human being. when she was done, she had some ketchup smugged on her face.

"Here." I lift up my napkin. "Let me help." before she could protest, I wipe it off. She dose her cute little giggle and looks at me with a big, fat, white smile.

"You done?"

"I guess."

"Good." She stands up. "My half of the date begins now." She smiles and skips to the door. I quickly pay the bill and run to her side, grabing her hand. I feel a jolt of eletricity. I know, at that moment, that this is going to be fun. She opens my door for me then gets in on the passenger side. I put my hand on her thigh as she directs me to where we must go next.
