Rose's POV
"Oh bebe, ?estas bien?" Vic's mom comes running to us. She cups Vic's face with her hands and kisses his cheeks. "Is this the chica you talk about so much?" Vic blushes and nods his head. "Oh she is muy hermosa, just like you said." She comes and hugs me tight. I hug her back. "He won't shut up about you." She says. I just giggle.
"Enough Momma." Vic says as he takes my hand. "I'm going to show them there room's." We walk up the stairs, Adam tagging along behind us. We walk all the way down the hall to a dark blue room. It made me smile, because it's Adam's favorite color.
"Adam, this will be you room." Vic says with a smile. "There's a tv on the dresser, as you can see, and there should be more than enough space for your clothes in it." Adam throws his arms around Vic.
"Thank you so much!" Adam smiles big and looks up at Vic. He might be the ONLY person to have to look up to talk to Vic, he's so short.
"Anything for you buddy. Why don't you get unpack then we can head down for dinner?" Adam shakes his head violently and heads off to his room. I smile at Vic and grab his hand.
"Now for you little miss." he squeezes my hand. "You can sleep in my bed or in Ryley's room." I try to raise my eyebrow, but I fail as usual, creating Vic to giggle slightly.
"Is us sleeping together okay with Momma Fuentes?"
"Yeah, she came up with the idea, since we only have one extra bedroom." He smiles. "There's more room for your clothes in Ryley's room. I'd love it if you'd sleep with me, just so I know your safe." He smiles at me. I nod my head and walk to Ryley's bedroom. I open the door and smile.
"Ry! I missed you!" I smile and hug her.
"Rose, it's been an hour." She giggles and hugs me back.
"I know but that's to long." I whine as she points to the dress I know I will be using. "Now I get to spend even more time with my best friend!" I exclaim as I unpack my bag. She just laughs.
"Like I don't spend every waking moment with you." She rolls her eyes and sits on her bed with a blue-grey comforter. "But I'm happy your here and out of that horrible place." She cringes slightly. She had always hated my dad.
"Cena." Momma Fuentes yells.
"Dinner." Ryley informs me. I nod and jog down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. It was warm and full of Mexican smells.
"What's for dinner?" I ask as I sit down in a chair at the big table.
"Tacos. I know, I know." She raises her hands in defense. "It's so Mexican of us but, I make them different than most."
"Okay." I smile as the boys walk in. I go to get up but Vic stops me.
"I'll get you a plate." He smiles and I just nod and sit back down. He gets plates together for the both of us and sits down next to me.
"Thank." I kiss his cheek. "I prefer taco salads though." I giggle into his ear.
"Fuck!"
"Language!" Momma yells back.
"Triste." Momma smiles and everyone comes and sits down.
The whole room was engulfed by laughter and happy conversations. Vic even put his hand on my thigh and rubbed tiny circles with his thumb. There was a lot of picking on Mike. Being the baby, it's kind of has to happen. Momma Fuentes was going on and on about how happy she was that Adam and I were here and that we were safe now. It felt so nice and loving. Something my house rarely had since my mother had died. Most nights, my dad would come home late or not even come home at all. So I would order Chinese food and Adam and I would eat it on the couch watching a movie. It was nice to be in a family that already loved me and my little brother. I look at Adam who has a huge smile from ear to ear. Momma Fuentes was asking questions about school and his friends and what interested him. It made my heart melt to see him so happy.
