Sending A Message
Word about her death would get out. She couldn't eases the blow. Her family and friends would she hoped would understand. Killing Kim Possible served so many strategic purposes. First, it'd protect them. Second, a stranger could move about freely without arousing suspicions. Third, her new identity—Isabella Trinity Rose—would give her a distinct advantage over her adversary.
Few people—even Gama Rose's closest allies—knew her greatest secret. Diamonique Rose was a twin. Long labor induced a stroke killing their mother. Doctors delivered identical twin sisters by emergency C-section. Their dad walked out leaving both children wards of Louisiana. Two Japanese couples adopted the sisters, individually, and trained them as rival assassins.
Isabella Trinity Rose perished during a live training exercise. They, however, never recovered her body. A few people believe she's still alive but broke free of her controllers and living under an alias. The question remains, which theory does her sister believe. Alive or dead, they'd be about the same age, high, weight, and build.
Key villain figures started dying mysteriously about 2-years back. Kim investigated, even shielded select ones from assassination and prosecution, building her own private think tank. And when ready, she faked her own death and assume her new alias. Getting poisoned only delayed her plans. Now she must ascertain Shego's location, while simultaneously sending a message. And she knew how.
Master Sergeant Jonathan Matthys, code named the Crimson Fox, was G.J.'s only agent who'd ever successfully infiltrated Necros' network. Admittedly, he hadn't achieved that deep a cover. He still succeeded, where others failed.
Kim knew her call could jeopardize that cover. She honestly couldn't envision how else she could locate Shego and send Dr. Director a message. She retrieves her newly activated burner phone dialing Crimson Fox's alias Atticus Cruz.
He'd worked a double shift, listened unto Drakken's incessant prattling, and didn't get home til early this morning. He took a bath, ate a little soup, and read part of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. He laid down a short time later and barely been asleep 3-hours. He rolls over snatching up his ringing telephone, "Hello".
"Cruz," a raspy voice snaps his awake immediately.
"Doctor?"
"Who else would I be? The Pope?"
"Uh..." He hesitates but regains his voice, "What can I do for you, Doctor?"
"Where's Shego?"
"Sir, she's on vacation. Remember she told us during the last meeting..."
Drakken despised when subordinates started reminding him about hing. It should an utter disregard for the chain of authority. He drives home his disappointment asking, "Are you happy here, Cruz?"
Crimson Fox was anything but happy. He'd never met anyone so idiosyncratic or accident prone. He marveled how the man was still alive. He was just smart enough to be dangerous, but certainly not an expert in any field of science. His cover wouldn't permit him admitting this. "I'm ecstatic working for you, Doctor. Tell me what I did wrong, and I'll rectify that oversight".
"Glad to hear that," Drakken preens, someone respected his authority. "You'll never repeated this, ever! To anyone! Especially Shego! It'd be hazardous to both our health. I wasn't paying attention during our last meeting. I need Shego, but can't reach her cell. Where is she, Cruz?"
