Chapter 5

1:00 a.m, December 21, 2013, Queens, New York

Carol Maraj's House~

Nicki and Drake got off the plane and the security drove them to her mothers house

"She's gonna be sleep so lets suprise her in the morning" Nicki whispered as she unlocked the door.

"Alright-" Drake said

"NIKKAAA!" Carol ran up and hugged her

"Awww Mommmyyy!" They hugged tight

"Look at that tree!" Nicki walked to the tall, highly decorated tree with many presents underneath

"Hello, Carol" Drake said and she hugged him

"I always thought you guys would be a good couple, give me some grandkids." She laughed and smacked his butt

Drake laughed hard "haha... okay"

"Mommm! What did you tell him?"

"Oh nothingg baby...you'll find out soon"

"Mom... I better" she laughed knowing it was probably something dirty

"Well, lets not just sit here! Time to eat!" Carol revealed she had expected them

The three of them enjoyed food that remimnded Nicki of her childhood. Afterwards they all conversed about the past, present, and future. Nicki was more sure she wanted to stay with Drake.

"Goodnight guys, you can sleep wherever you want." Carol said

"Night Mom." Nicki said and kissed her cheek

She walked into her room and shut the door.

"I love how you're just like your mom." Drake said as Nicki lead him to a room

"Yeaaah, thats my baby.. and you." She said and kissed his cheek

After they put on their pajamas and lied down, they talked about alot of stuff. Nicki loved how he was not only her lover, but one of her best friends, and she never forgot that they could tell each other everything.

"I love you, Aubrey."

"You too baby." He said and kissed her forehead and dozed off

7:00 a.m, December 21, 2013, New York

Carol Maraj's House~

Nicki got back from her jog and walked in to Drake and Carol having breakfast.

"Hey babes!" She kissed both their cheeks and brought in wrapped presents to put under the tree

"How did you go shopping?! Especially here!?" Her mom asked her

"I didn't. My goons went for me." She said and laughed. "I just can't wait to see the rest of my amazinnggg family." Nicki smiled

"Speaking of family, where's yours, young man." Carol asked Drake

"On Christmas day, after everything here, we're going to fly to Toronto, then go back to Florida to finish the tour, we'll be back here too in a while." Drake explained.

"Ohhh okay. Are you sure you don't want to leave earlier?." Carol questioned him

"No, I want to get to know the family of my future wife..." Drake said and smiled and Nicki

"Awww!" Carol smiled at the two

"You're too sweet, Aubrey." Nicki smiled at him from near the chtistmas tree

"You deserve it."

Nicki just laughed and continued what she was doing. Soon after, her brother walked in.

"JELANI!" She went up and hugged him tight

"I missed you, Nika." They hugged and Carol took a picture.

"Mom, you're always gonna be the same." He laughed remembering how she loved to take pictures of everything they did

"Yes!" She laughed along

Jelani Looked around and saw Drake sitting there

"What is he doing here?" Jelani  asked Nicki, and Drake looked over at him

"Don't be disrespectful, I'll still beat you up." She glared at him angrily

"My bad but, this is for family-"

"Jay!" Nicki punched him in his side

"Onika!" Carol looked at her, shocked

"I've never disrespected any of the girls he's brought here, Mom! And all of them needed to be said something to!" Nicki told her

"But you'd still choose him over me huh"

"No! I mean.... maybe you should think about how someone else feels for once! You're far from innocent." Nicki yelled at him

"I've been here for you! Has he, no! You'll never find anyone to protect you more than your own family." He yelled back

"That's not true at all. I'll forever stand up for her. In thick and thin, anywhere, anytime. And i'll never disrespect her, I've been on her side since I first met her." Drake told him in a neutral tone

"Fuck that. Because when you ruin her life, i'm going to be the only man left."

"Jelani!" Carol yelled and Nicki stared furious at him

"You know-" Drake started to say something

"No, I dont know shit about what's going on in your head unless it's for you to find another girl to treat like shes worthless."

"Maybe you're the one who needs to treat her better. Sure doesn't look like you're considering her feelings."

"Guys, stop, please...stop" Nicki's voice cracked

"Maybe you should learn who to choose, Onika, i always warned you about these types."

Nicki got so mad to the point she started to shed tears.

"Maybe you're right. But that gives you no right to disrespect him as my bestfriend. Mine. But no, once again. When it comes down to the truth, all you care about is yourself" She said clearly while crying. "Don't call me." She stormed off somewhere that she used to go when she needed peace from her troubled childhood.

"Nicki!" Drake called after her and stood at the doorway listening to Carol and her son argue.

"Fine!" He walked out shoving Drake out the way and left

Drake walked in and saw Carol sitting down crying with her hands over her face. He couldn't stand to see her like that, it was like seeing Nicki that way. Drake walked over and hugged her like a son would.

"I'm sorry..." He told her when she was done crying...
