VII

Demi looks out the window of the plane as it lands at the Miami National Airport, and all she can think about is finally getting back to her kids after not being able to hold, hug or kiss them for a couple weeks.

It's around 8 at night and the kids should be getting ready for bed, but Demi told Trey to keep them up so that she could be there to kiss athem goodnight. Once the plane has landed, she gets off the plane, claims her bags and there's a driver waiting. She locates him and gets taken to her home.

When Demi gets to the house, she quietly walks in and leaves her bags at the door. She hears the television in the livingroom. She walks in to see the kids and Tori sitting on the couch.

"Hey guys." Demi says with a smile on her face.

"Mom!" Everette says quickly hopping out of bed. He's the first to give her a big hug.

"My baby boy." She gives him a kiss on the forehead. "I've missed you so much sweetie."

"I missed you too." He says with his arms still tightly around her.

"Mommy!!" Brooklyn says running over. Everette moves aside to let Brooklyn get a hug in.

"My pretty girl! I missed you." Demi says picking her up.

"I missed you more."

They walk over to the couch. "Where's your brother." Demi says looking at the tiny body hidden underneath the covers.

"He's being silly." Brooklyn says.

"Boo!!" Baby Trey says laughing as he reveals himself from underneath the cover.

"You silly boy...come here!" Baby Trey stands up on the couch and jumps into her arms. "I missed you so much!" Demi gives him a kiss on the cheek. "And you...I expected to come home to my husband not my bestfriend, although this works too."

"Yeah, he called to ask if I could come over and watch the kids. Something went wrong at the club and he had to go fix it."

"A heads up would have been nice. I'll deal with it later. But it's so good to see you!" Demi says hugging her friend.

"It's good to see you! I missed you."

"Missed you more. There's so much to catch up on."

"I have all night...well, until your hubby gets home."

"Sounds good...let me just get these little munchkins in bed."

"Mommmmyyy nooo. Can we stay up with you." Brooklyn whines.

"No ma'am...you should already be in bed." Demi says then looks at Tori.

"What you lookin at me for. They wanted to watch tv. Auntie Tori can't say no."

"That's why you're my favorite." Everette says hugging Tori.

"Upstairs...now." Demi picks trey. "I'll be back down soon."

"Take your time."

"Goodnight auntie Tori." Brooklyn says.

"Goodnight baby girl."

Demi takes the kids upstairs and puts them to bed. Before going back to the livingroom, she goes to the kitchen, grabs a couple of wine glasses and one of the bottles of wine that's in the fridge.

"You read my mind." Tori says as she notices the wine in Demi's hand.

They spend what seems like all night talking, seeing as Trey hasn't made it home yet, and it's a little over 12 in the morning. Demi and Tori wrap up their conversation, and Tori leaves for the night.
