Trey looks at Demi after claiming to know the match— still shocked and confused it's not him.

"Can we have some privacy, please?" Demi asks the doctor. He nods and quietly exits the room.

"What the hell is going on?" Trey asks.

Demi looks over at Everette who's laying in bed, hooked up to machines. She takes a deep breath and exhales.

"There are some things that I've done that I'm not proud of, and it was right before I met you."

"Spit it out."

"It's Odell. If the match isn't you, it's him. Literally right before I met you, I met him at a club, and that night, we fucked."

"Wow." Trey says quietly while stepping away from Demi.

"It was before we met."

"And you didn't think to tell me that once you found out Odell and I were boys?"

"I didn't feel the need to tell you because it wasn't important. It was one night and after that I had never spoken to him until you introduced us."

"That's bullshit."

"It's true. And you and I got together and we started sleeping together right away so it never crossed my mind that you weren't Everette's father when I got pregnant."

"Get him here so that my son can live." Trey says before showing Demi the door. Demi grabs her phone out of her purse and walks out. Trey closes the door quickly behind her and goes back to Everette's bedside.

"You're gonna be okay, son." He says running his hand through his hair.

Demi walks outside to the waiting room and makes a phone call. Thanks to this on-going affair, he's not far.

"Hello." He says answering the phone.

"Hey..."

"Is everything okay? You left so fast without telling me anything."

"It's Ev.."

"Ev?" He says giving Demi his full attention. "What's wrong with him? What happen?"

"I need you to come to the hospital."

"The hospital? Demi, what is going on?"

"I'll explain everything when you get here. But can you try to get here as fast as you can?"

"Yeah sure, I'm on my way."

Odell quickly gets to the hospital. Demi sees him walk past the waiting room and calls him back. "PSST." He quickly turns around.

"Hey." He gives her a hug. "You gonna tell me what's going on? Where the the kids?"

"Tori came and got them."

"What happened to Everette?"

"He was at practice and he broke his leg, badly. To where it pierced his skin and he lost a lot of blood. He had emergency surgery to put his bones back in place but they still have to do something about the blood loss. Trey and I were tested for blood types, and neither of us were a match."

"How is that possible. One of you has to be."

"I know. The only I could think of to be a possible match is you."

"Me?" Demi nods. "But how?"

"You remember that night, at the club..."

"...yeah, but that was once. There's no way."

"Once is all it takes. I'm sorry, but there's a strong possibility that Everette is your son." Odell's speechless. "Can you say something, please?"

"Just show me where I need to go." He says. Demi goes to the desk where the nurses are to locate the doctor. They finally get a hold of him and a couple tests. One for Odell's blood type and a DNA test. The blood type comes back a match. Though Demi requested the results of the DNA test to be expedited, it's still going to take a few hours.

Demi and Odell knew it'd be best if Trey didn't know which room Odell was in while they were taking blood. However, Trey knew he had arrived, but knew he couldn't handle the situation the way he wanted to. At least not while the life of his son was at stake, but it was pretty clear that Odell was dead to him.

While Odell was getting taken care of, Demi went back to Everette's room. She stands next to his bed, and smiles at the thought of her baby boy being okay.

"How long has it been goin on?" Trey asks and she looks up at him.

How long has what been goin on?"

"I'm not stupid. I know you're seeing him. So...how long has it been going on."

"Not long after you started your little affair." Trey wasn't expecting that rebuttal. "Yeah I know all about it. I've known for a while now"

"So you think sneaking around with Odell was the right way to get back at me."

"It wasn't to get back at you. It was more of me having someone for the first time, in a very long time, to have eyes for me and only me. Someone who would give me attention without having to beg and plead for it. I shouldn't have to beg my husband to give me attention."

"And I shouldn't have to explain to my wife why I do what I do, which is working so I can put food in my kids' mouth."

"And to take another bitch on expensive trips and hotel meet ups. Don't act like every single time you weren't home you were out working and working only."

"Alright...so I'm the bad guy now? Even though you've done your dirt as well."

"What I did was wrong, and I recognize that, but you....this isn't the first time you've stepped out on this marriage, Trey. If you're that damn unhappy, why don't you just be straight up and ask for a divorce."

"I want a divorce." He says quietly.

"What?"

"I want a divorce." This time with a little more conviction.

"Okay then. I honestly hope that she's worth it."

There's a knock at the door, Trey opens it, and it's Odell. He knew he'd have to face Trey at some point.

"Why you still here? You're services are no longer needed." Trey asks as Odell steps in.

"For the sake of Everette, we need to be cordial and we can settle this shit later."

With no hesitation Trey's fist is connected with Odell's jaw, knocking him to the ground. "We can settle this right now." Trey says before kicking him.

"Trey stop!" Demi says before pushing him back. He pushes Demi to the side and continues his assault.

The commotion was being heard from outside the room, and doctors and security guards had to come in to hold Trey off of him. He was instructed to leave and not to return.
