Later after Trey leaves, Tori stops by to check on Demi. Demi hears a knock at the door and goes to let her in.
"Did he come home last night?"
"Yeah, he did...and left as soon as he got up this morning."
"Do you feel it's worth working out. Perhaps going to counseling or something."
"I honestly don't know. Trey barely has time to do anything because of the "club" Demi says, putting air quotes around club.
"Well if you suggest it, and he makes no effort, that should tell you all you need to know. And I mean suggest it today, when he comes home." Demi nods. "The kids still sleep?"
"No they're up. I'm gonna drop Ev's friends off soon. Got anything planned today? Wanna come with me?"
"Yeah, I'll come."
A couple hours later, Tori, Demi and the kids are back home from dropping Ev's friends off at home. Everyone's downstairs in the living room watching tv. Demi's phone vibrates and it's a text message from Odell.
Odell: I hope last night was as amazing for you as it was for me
Demi: I think last night was a mistake.
Odell: I don't.
Demi: well, I do. I acted out of spite and I shouldn't have gone there with you.
Odell: but ya did, and you lyin if you say you didn't enjoy it, or that you didn't feel anything
Demi: you're Trey's bestfriend, and was the best man at our wedding
Odell: Ion give a damn about all that anymore. Not when he's out doin you dirty. You don't deserve any of it.
Odell: besides, don't act like i wasn't your first target back then.
Demi has no rebuttal. She quietly places her phone on the coffee table and reverts her attention back to the television.
"Mom, when's dad coming come?" Everette asks.
"I'm not sure baby. But I'm sure he'll be back before it's time for you guys to start getting ready for school." He nods and goes back to playing games on the iPad.
Later that night, after Tori's gone home, and the kids are in bed, Trey finally walks through the door. Part of Demi believes that he was working hard at the club all day, the other part strongly believes that he was out with his side bitch in addition to being at the club. Her suspicions were only confirmed when she caught the lingering scent of a perfume that she's been smelling often.
"I'm gonna go hop in the shower." He says walking passed Demi. As Trey is wrapping up his shower, Demi's in the bathroom, leaning against counter, waiting for him to finish. Trey opens the door and sees her standing there. He proceeds to grab a towel and wraps it around his waist. "Need something?"
"Yeah, we need to talk."
"So talk."
"You know what..." Demi says. Obviously fed up with his the way he's been acting. "It's pretty clear that we aren't where we used to be Trey. It's obvious."
"We're fine. Okay."
"We're not fine!" Demi says slightly raising her voice. "We're not fine and you know it. Which is why I'm suggesting we go and talk to someone."
"Hell no. First of all, I don't need anyone in our damn business, and two, if you'd just let me handle my business..."
"Handle your business? Oh you mean like having an affair right? That's you handling your business."
