Secrets, Lies & Trying Times

It's a few days into the new year, it's a cool, breezy day in Miami Florida, and Trey and Demi decided they'd take the children to the last Dolphin home game against the New York Giants. They weren't there to cheer for the home team, they're here to cheer for Odell, or as the kids would call him, "uncle O."

Odell and Trey were really good friends at LSU, you could call them brothers even, and their relationship remained the same as Odell went on to get drafted by the Giants, and Trey, along with Demi and they're son, Everette, moved to Miami to pursue dreams. Demi's dreams however were put on hold once baby two and three popped up.

Everette Deon Neverson, now 8, was born during Demi's first year in college. Trey and Demi had no intentions of having a child months later after barely meeting, but they took on that responsibility and fell in love with parenthood.

Then came Brooklyn Leigh Neverson, who's 4 and she was the honeymoon baby. Demi and Trey at the time really didn't have the means to have the wedding of Demi's dreams, so they settled for a courthouse wedding and agreed that once their careers were up and running, they'd have that big wedding.

Trey wanted to be a business man, and own things himself, rather than working under someone. After taking the leap of faith, and with some help of his good friend Odell, Trey was able to open the club he's always wanted, Truth. First year of business, he was able to pay Odell back with interest. A few years later, and he's become one of the hottest club owners in south beach, and looking to expand.

After some financial stability, they decided on one last child, Tremaine Aldon Neverson, aka baby Trey, who's 2.

Then there's the queen of the household. After making so many sacrifices for the sake of her family, Demi is ready to venture out and start a career. With all the recognition the club has gotten, being on Trey's arm and partner in this has been very beneficial. She's known for being Truth's First Lady as well as her good looks. Racking up millions of followers through the past for years, next step, putting those good looks to use by signing with Wilhelmina models. Big things are to come for this new year.

It's the fourth quarter and the game clock dwindles down to zero and the Giants go on to win 31-24. After the game, Trey, Demi and the kids make their way to the family waiting area.

"Look, there's uncle O." Everette points out. Odell walks over, daps it up with Trey, and gives Demi and the kids hugs. "Good game unc."

"Thanks lil man. That's gone be you out there one day if you keep workin."

"I know. You tell me all the time."

"So what's next, now that the season is over?" Demi asks.

"Oh you know...same old same old." Odell says before hitting a couple dance moves, something he does often, on and off the field. "I'll be in Miami next weekend, so you know I'll be by."

"Definitely. HTC is holding a launch party at the club." Trey adds.

"Bet! I'll be there. Preciate y'all comin."

"No doubt. You know we gotta show some love." Trey says as they dap it up once again.

"I'll see y'all next weekend."

The kids give Odell one last hug. "Y'all be good."

"Okay." They all say.

After leaving the stadium, the family heads to their beautiful home. It was pretty late when they got home, and tomorrow would be the kids first day back at school from Christmas break.

"Ev...shower, then bed. I'll be by your room to say goodnight." Demi instructs.

"Yes ma'am."

"And I'll take these two a quick bath and get them in bed." Demi says to Trey as they walk upstairs, with a sleeping Brooklyn and Baby Trey in each of their arms.

While taking the kids a bath, Trey retreats to their bedroom. He walks in the closet and strips down to his briefs before walking back out and into their bathroom. Checking his text messages on how things at the club are going from his general manager on the way there. It's not often that Trey misses any nights, but when he does, he stays on call just in case something goes down.

After taking the children baths, Demi gets the two youngest in the bed and kisses them goodnight. She stops by Everette's room to say goodnight.

"Okay sweetie. Time for bed." She says walking over to the bed and she sits down next to him.

"Did you enjoy yourself today."

"Yeah. It was fun. Cool to hang out with dad."

"Yeah, I know he's been busy lately, but just know it's for us. If it wasn't for dad's job, we wouldn't have this big house...or all the cool things that we have." He nods. "But don't worry, he loves you kids to death."

"Okay. I guess if he didn't, he wouldn't work so hard."

"Exactly. Now get some sleep, you start school tomorrow."

"Yayy." He says sarcastically.

"Goodnight. I love you."

"I love you too. Night."

Demi walks out, turning out the room light in the process. She goes to the bedroom and Trey is already lying in bed. After taking a shower, Demi gets in bed and turns with her back facing Trey. Things may seem great on the surface, how could they not be, beautiful kids, beautiful home, new contract with a modeling agency, but some how, the happiness was not completely there. She loved her husband, but didn't love the time the club stole, especially as of lately and Demi has voiced her thoughts, but no action has been taken.
