"And I found you. Flightless bird."

"Vie," she heard being called from the other room. "Can you come here for a second, please?"

She looked up at Louis with a frightful look in her eye. He held her tightly, one arm wrapped firmly around her waist while the other cradled her head. "You're going to be fine, sweet pea," he mumbled into her hair. “They’ll love you just as much as when they walked in the door."

She sniffed one last time and let go of Louis, kissed his cheek, and then meandered into the dining room.

The four of them were sitting around the table. Harry next to Gemma and Robin next to Anne. There was no place for her to sit.

"Come here darling," Harry spoke gently, reaching a hand out towards her.

She looked at him hesitantly but took his hand anyways. Hands clenched in one another's she was dropped onto his lap. She felt a hand squeeze her knee from beside her.

Louis waited up in her room knowing that she would make an escape as soon as she could. He looked up from his place on the bed and looked out the window, seeing the tad bit of sunlight that was peeking through the clouds.

Louis felt like the sun represented Olivia's soul. More and more she seemed to keep getting better, slowly but surely. Two months ago he thought she wouldn't have been here, sitting downstairs with Harry's family whom she had never met with before this moment.

Even when everything seemed a mess, he thought about the positives. The fact that she was at least attempting to get better was more than enough for Louis at the moment.

He heard footsteps come running up the stairs and heard his bedroom door fly open.

"Louis?" she squealed.

He remained on his spot on her bed, just thinking until her bedroom door creaked open. The small girl carefully stepped inside and closed the door behind her, leaning against it. She closed her eyes and Louis spotted a tear slide down her cheek.

She mumbled something inherently and Louis asked for her to please speak up babe.

She fluttered her eyes opened and gave him a lopsided grin. "I'm okay," she breathed.

He let out a sigh of relief and sprung off the bed to engulf her in a bone crushing hug. "They said it's okay. That it was perfectly alright. They won't force me to change. They love me anyways. Oh my god. Louis they love me. I just met them and they already love me."

She cried softly into his chest. "Would now be an appropriate time to tell you I told you so?"

She stepped on his foot and he faked an injury. "No, it's not the proper time idiot."

He said it anyways.

She laughed and pulled back from their hug, wiping her tears away with her sleeve. " Babe?"

"Yeah?" she hiccupped looking up at him. Tears were still hanging on her eyelashes, but she looked happier than she had looked in ages.

"Just because they don't care if you change, doesn’t mean I don’t."

She looked down at her feet but he ran his fingers through her hair to regain her attention. "Listen to me. I still expect you to go to your appointments and keep taking your medicine."

"Okay Louis-"

"I want you to promise. Promise me that you'll keep trying. Promise me that I won't ever see you covered in blood again."
