"It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle, of the ride, everything everything will be just fine, everything everything will be alright alright."
The Middle: Jimmy Eat World
It wasn't supposed to be a thing.
It just sort of happened.
Each day I woke up in my own bed, a warm spot beside me from where he had been. I'd hear discussion from downstairs and smell some sort of breakfast on the stove. After sitting patiently at the table while the other three ate, politely joining in on morning conversation, I would naturally drift towards Gemma and we would go out on the balcony and end up talking. It would start out with commenting on the weather, cuppa in hand, and then morphing into more serious issues.
Once I would step inside the flat again, I wouldn't look or speak to her again for the rest of the day.
I could tell it bothered Harry when I ignored her for the first time after we had a discussion. But I guess Louis explained to him what was going on inside my mind. Thank God for that man.
Louis had somewhat been able to convince management to accept his offer of us clearing up the publicity. They wanted to have a meeting next week, just me and him. No Harry. I had wondered whether Harry had specifically done something to piss them off to the extent of not even wanting him to attend a meeting about the two of our fates. Whatever. Maybe I needed some time alone with just Louis. We hadn't gotten much of that recently.
Speaking of Louis, his family was supposedly coming in town tomorrow for some unknown reason. I hadn't seen them since the last time we went to visit them the first time I landed in England. I was mixed between both happiness and anxiety at the prospect of them finding out about me.
But enough about the future, now was the present. And the only way we can change the future is by changing the present, which was exactly what I had been trying to do all morning. I was determined to not feel uncomfortable around Gemma after our early morning discussion.
For some strange reason I actually felt a tad bit lighthearted at the moment, and I was going to put it to use.
"Hello boys," I jokingly spoke while putting my arms on top of my head and spinning around in a circle.
Harry looked at me in bewilderment, which I guess he had a right of doing. I had been completely shit-headed for the past few days, staying up in my room and just sleeping, showering, and reading. I had been a brat and I immediately felt bad.
"Hey babe," Louis smiled from behind the counter. He was standing in front of a pan of sausage and bacon on the stove. "Feeling better?"
Louis had somewhat come up with a "secret language" if you wanted to call it to speak about my depression. Feeling better was basically asking if he needed to go get some of my pills from the inside of his bathroom and have them shoved down my throat until I swallowed them. If I said alright then he needed to go get them. If I said great then he didn't have to worry.
"Yeah, I'm feeling great," I smiled. He grinned back and came over to give me a kiss on the forehead. He wrapped me in his arms and whispered I love you over and over again.
"I love you too," I giggled.
I nuzzled my face into his neck and he laughed. "What are you doing?"
"I just wanna cuddle," I admitted shyly.
"Oh, babe," he breathed. "Of course we can."
I heard Harry get up from behind me and make his way over to me. "I'm gonna go out with Gem to get some stuff for tomorrow, yeah?"
