Chapter~ 22 "Lame"
If you were willing to enjoy the last hours of your stay with the One Direction, your best friends and idols, what would you do? Cry? No, you're not lame.
Unlike some people.
Yeah, I'm lame. I'm crying. Actually, I'm sobbing and my throat hurts from trying to swallow the huge lumps in it. My eyes are red shot and my hair is all over the place. I want to stop, but I'm flooded with sad emotions right now. I hate crying, especially when I'm trying to make the last hours the best. But I just can't stop. The tears just keep flowing.
I am surrounded by people throwing incredible words of comfort at me. They're promising to keep in touch and to Skype every day.
How do I reply to their oaths?
I don't. I try, but fail.
I tear up again.
And whimper.
And cry.
And sob.
Why?
Because I'm lame.
"Do you remember the day we met? It was hilarious!" Louis recalled.
"Of course! Liam, you should've seen your face! You were like 'Oh God. Please don't hurt me!'" Zayn imitated, making us roar in laughter.
"And then Jess was like, 'One Direction?'. Her eyes were huge!" Liam opened his eyes wide, looking like an owl. I cracked up laughing, trying my best to gasp for air.
"Oh! Do you remember the day Izzy went out of the hospital? When we went to the carnival and Isabella bet Liam during that race? He was like 'I let you win!'." Eleanor tried to sound deep. "Then, we were mocking him until he got fed up and was like 'Yes! I know! Now, shut up!'. Oh God, that was the first time I saw Liam so embarrassed." Eleanor laughed at his blushing face.
Which was definitely cute.
I felt bad for him, so I decided to give Eleanor a piece of her own cake.
Queue the evil laugh.
"Don't let me start telling the story 'I can't run because I'm wearing a dress!', El." I winked at her. She blushed. Like, really hard.
"Oh God, I will really miss you guys." Delilah shook her head sadly.
And that was when I broke down.
Half an hour and many cries later, we were all sitting down in a circle.
"There is something we want from you, and you should promise you would agree to it," Niall said in his cute little Irish accent. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but my trust in the boys made me agree.
"I promise," I said.
"Me too," Jessica agreed.
"You are going to audition in that musical, and you are going to perform in it. They are going to love you. Have I made myself clear?" Niall commanded. I looked at Jessica and she did the same.
How can he be so sure?
"But-" I started, but got interrupted by yours truly.
"No buts. You promised and you're giving them a call, okay? Okay," Zayn started and finished, ending the discussion at the moment.
I ran to my bedroom and searched inside my messy drawer until I found the magazine. I read the bold lines again.

I grabbed my iPhone and went back into the living room with the magazine in my other hand. I sat down on the couch next to Zayn and Jessica. Everyone gave me and Jess a sincere smile, telling us that it will be okay and that we'll do just fine.
Isn't that what friends are for? Isn't that why I love them? I shook off the thought, not wanting to cry again. I quickly dialed the number and patiently waited for someone to answer. After three rings, the other side picked up.
"H-hello?" I stuttered nervously.
"Hello, miss. How may I help you?" A female answered, sweetly.
"My friend and I would like to audition."
"Of course!"
This is it.
