Chapter~24 'Four in One'
"Are you ready?" I ask my beautiful best friend. She is wearing her favorite dancing suit, which fits her perfectly. Her hair is falling freely on her back, allowing her frizzy curls to bounce. She barely has any makeup on, yet she looks amazing.
"More than ever," she simply replies, smiling.
It's the day. The day that might draw our future for us. The day that we promised we would wait for, convinced.
It's audition day.
We were spending the last week practicing for this day, waiting impatiently. We have no idea what the musical will be about, which might be something we're supposed to worry about, perhaps. However, we have so many other worries, and we refused to let this be one.
I was wearing simple clothing that consisted of dark blue, denim shorts and a hot pink tank top. I tried straightening my hair for a change, but then decided against it. Instead, I left it in its natural curls. Then, I wore a hot pink headband to keep my fringe away from my eyes.
Today, I was more than ready. Nervous, but ready.
Just as we were about to step out of the house and drive to our destination, my cellphone rang. The caller ID was much unexpected. It's been a while. I find myself pressing answer.
"Hey!" She squeals, enthusiastically.
"Hey," I answer rather awkwardly.
"Aren't you excited?"
"For?" I ask back. Why am I so grumpy?
"The auditions! Duh!" Well, at least she remembers.
"Yeah, of course I am!" I finally smile.
"We're coming to see you!" Eleanor screams. I can imagine her jumping up and down.
"We?" I ask, confused.
"Yes! Me, Perrie, and Della."
Oh, all of them.
"You are? That's amazing."
"Who's it?" Jess asks.
"It's El, they're coming to watch us! As in Perrie and Delilah too!"
"They are?!"
"Yes!"
"Well, you better run! We'll meet you guys there," El interrupts our excitement.
"Bye!" I hang up the phone.
This was unexpected.
Very.

"We missed you!" Della ran to us, the others following. I wanted to ask them why they haven't called if they did. But I decided against it, not wanting to ruin the moment.
"We did more," Jessica answers while we group hug.
"When are they starting?" Perrie asks. I take a glance at my watch.
"In about ten minutes. I guess we should get going now. A-are you going to be in the crowd?" I ask nervously, really wanting the answer to be yes.
"Of course! Right in the first row." Eleanor gives us a warm and reassuring smile. I return it and head backstage, Jessica following my footsteps.
Suddenly, my smile was wiped off my face, my heart started beating faster and I took in a sharp breath. I don't know whether it's my nervous self or the breathtaking place. But it might as well be the person I saw right in front of me, sitting on the dark brown bench.
Do you know the offers in the markets? The ones with '3 in 1' or whatever? Well, today, my fate decided for me to meet four unexpected people in one important day.
Exactly.
Four, in one.
