Earth Faires

Chapter 1: Earthquake

That was the last memory Harmony had of her dad when she was six. It's been twelve years since Harmony's dad has disappeared. Her dad wasn't the only who disappeared.
Everyone in that group disappeared. Children lost their parents. Wives became widows. The King and Queen didn't tell anybody that it was the Dark Lord but everyone knows it was him. The Dark Lord has been terrorizing the fairies for as long as anyone can remember. He even made his Dark Fairies turn into other types of fairies to spy. They were caught before they could get back. So Harmony went on with her life.
"Sapphire, hurry up. The sun is about to rise and that's when the best fish come out ," Harmony called out to Sapphire.
Sapphire is Harmony's unicorn. She got her when her dad disappeared. She was supposed to make her happy, but she didn't. Harmony didn't want to be mean so she took Sapphire. Sapphire is like every other unicorn. White hair and different colours of the rainbow for the mane and tail. Her tail and mane is hot pink. Their horns and hooves are made of pure gold. "Sapphire, where are you?" Harmony yelled.
Sapphire had the fishing rod that her dad gave her when she was little. It's made of a branch from their home.
Sapphire galloped right in front of Harmony. Harmony backed up in shock. Sapphire bucked in happiness. "Seriously Sapphire, you were hiding from me. You're such a silly girl. Look there the docks! Let's go fishing," Harmony laughed.
Harmony and Sapphire bolted to the docks. Harmony took the fishing rod as Sapphire trotted in the shallow water to clean the her hooves. Harmony took off her shoes Harmony casted her rod in the river. "Sapphire, I really haven't told anybody, but I miss my dad. I know you don't know him, but he was a great man. He always told me a certain short story about me," Harmony stopped for a bit and wiped her tears away,"It's the twelfth year anniversary today of his and the other fairies disappearance," Harmony told Sapphire.
Sapphire trotted up to Harmony and nuzzled up against her. Harmony brushed her hand over Sapphire's neck. Jaime and Omar walked out from the forest. "Look at that dork with her ugly faced unicorn. Oh, is she crying? What a baby," Jamie smirked.
Jaime is the one of the most popular fairies her age. She's just like Harmony but with brown eyes and is mean. She wears so much makeup that it's basically not her face. She wore black leather shorts that were so tight that they basically cut the circulation off her legs. She had a leather crop top that was made of the same material as her shorts but had a fur outline. Her arms were covered with bracelets that were made of tons of metals and gems. She thinks she is so special just because her dad is the head guard of King Philip and Queen Mariah. Harmony's dad was they head guard before the incident. "Sapphire don't listen to her you are beautiful no matter what. What are you doing here Jamie?" Harmony shot back with force.
"How do you know that we are not here to fish?" Omar questioned.
Omar follows Jamie like a dog to it's owner. He will protect her even if he will die. Omar is super buff but he is kind of a bonehead. He has tanned skin with tattoos all up his left arm. He had the same material as Jamie on his pants. "It's pretty obvious. You don't have a fishing rod. Plus I know you guys. You just came here to bully on me," Harmony answered.
"Ugh, so rude. If you don't to be friends with us we'll go," Jamie smirked.
"I don't want to be friends with you so go, idiots," Harmony muttered.
"What did you say? It doesn't even matter what you said because you don't matter. We'll go try to make friends with other fairies," Jamie spat. Jaime, Omar and Jamie's unicorn ,Budolf, walked away with sass. Budolf looks exactly like Sapphire but with light blue mane and tail. "Sapphire, I really hate those guys. Everybody hates them too but they pretend to like them because they are afraid that they would influence everybody to hate them," Harmony said to Sapphire.
Just then a horn blew which meant that King Philip and Queen Mariah called a village announcement. "Come on Sapphire we have to go," Harmony ordered.
Harmony walked next Sapphire on the way to the tree. They walked over the river that lead to the Water Fairy Kingdom. Harmony could see the Bilco tree, but the ground began to shake. The earth underneath her split with a big crack. She just grabbed onto a root from a tree that was still standing right before she was going to fall. Rocks came crumbling down hitting her. Sapphire tilted her head down so Harmony could grab her horn. "Help! Help! Somebody help me!" Harmony screamed with all her might.
Somebody swiftly ran down from a tree and reached down for Harmony. All she saw were eyes as grey as a full moon before she got pulled up. She panted and sweated like that was all she could do. Behind her the split in the earth sealed back up like it didn't happen. "Sapphire! Sapphire! Come on girl," Harmony called out to Sapphire.
Harmony saw Sapphire limping towards her. Harmony ran up to her and hugged her and asked, "Sapphire were you hit by one of those flying rocks?"
Sapphire nodded her head. "Let's you back so we can fix your leg up, but Sapphie that wasn't a normal earthquake. After I got out it sealed back up again... wait who pulled me out? I know it wasn't a fairy because it didn't have wings. All I saw was its eyes. Its eyes were quite beautiful actually. They were grey like the moon. I'm getting off track. The earthquake has to be magical because after I got out the earthquake sealed back up again. They only magic I know of that can control earth is us but nobody would hurt their own kind. It destroyed it so the only other magic that can destroy things is the Dark Lord's magic!"
